It’s fixed, drove it around town and got it home… gonna drive it this week and keep checking on it to make sure nothing leaks before I go wash the coolant smell out of it 🤣
Hey Clint!! That is a job I hope I dont have to do anytime soon!! But thank you for sharing this because now I know what to expect if I do end up having to replace my head gasket. Unfortunately I do seem to have a small amount of antifreeze disappearing in my Tracker but the oil looks good, so I dont know? lol Anyways as always love your vids bro!! Thanks P.S. Thinking about doing a little overland adventure camping trip in my new old Tracker for my next video and im stoked about it!!
I’ve watched some of your videos and you’ve got mechanical ability so you could totally handle this job. To find out if you have a leak in your coolant system get you a hydro carbon test kit from the auto parts store. It will come with a liquid that is one color and if your system is leaking it will change colors. You got this homie!
Good work mate. I bet you've got it covered now... Looks like the issue was in the exhaust side by your head bolts observation. What's the copper coat you used on the gasket? Just a general application or was it specified for this engine?
Latex Paint? What kinda 49th state "Crack Head Mayhem' kinda garbage you got going on up there? Did they roll it or use a brush? Glad it was recovered.. I've got about 50K on my 8v and hope I never have to get into it. Seems easy enough. BTW.. Not every head gasket has 'top' marked on it. The good ones do. The 'crappy' ones don't and you takes your chances.
Yeah we have some crack heads around here that steal vehicles almost nightly and basically drive them to Walmart, steal paint and roll them then drive them around until they run out of gas and use them to steal more stuff, wash rinse repeat…. The police don’t really do anything because the liberal law makers in Anchorage passed a law that basically releases offenders with a warning or ticket that they never pay. It’s a pretty bad deal
looks like you are figuring it out. Glad to see it running.
It’s running better than it ever has haha
Love that color on the Valve Cover!!! Man that head looks good too :)
Thanks man, makes it pop 🤘😎
Looks good, sounds great!! Great video
Thanks dad, I’m gonna head over today and bring it home.
Hell ya! Glad to see it coming together!
Sounds like it’s all coming together.
Finally lol
Awesome job!! See you at Connector trail on Saturday 😂
Not sure, I think we are doing a buddy’s wheel bearings this weekend 🤣
Sheeeeesh. Hopefully it’s fixed and you can enjoy it now!! 😊🤙🏻

Yeah it’s just a hi temp adhesive, I thought I would give it a try
just wondering how many hours this job is, i have one to do for a friend and are wondering if it could be done in a day?
@@m1n7y it too me about 6 hours since I was filming and had to do it on 2 separate days due to work schedule
@@CTMadModz that's not too bad then
Do you need to put sealant on the first and last cam cap?
I just did it in the corners like on the old chevy intakes but I don’t think you need to 🤷🏻♂️🤣
@@CTMadModz Got it. Thanks for the quick reply
