HOW to INSTALL rear CAMERA on KIOTI!! PART 2

- Upgrading stock stereo to 9" touchscreen with rear camera. This upgrade can be done in any compact cab tractor. New features will include bluetooth, apple CarPlay, and android auto. Rear camera will be a huge neck saver when running 3 point attachments. Make sure to check out all the other upgrades on the channel! Thanks for watching!
This upgrade will be done in TWO videos. PART 1 will be a complete overview, unboxing and trying out the new system. PART 2 will cover removing the old stereo and speakers and installing the new upgraded system. It will be more detailed with wiring, routing and mounting of all the new components. That seems pretty simple once the roof is removed. I’m looking up the Boss Audio system on Amazon as I watched and now typing. Great job and watch out for that Yeti! ⛄️👍🏼

Thanks buddy. I try to do things right. It really wasnt too bad of a job. Taking the roof off was key for sure. I think im going to design some brush guards for the front. Also have some outside projects coming up. Theres not a whole lot left to do on the kioti. Thanks for the comment

I was at the kioti dealer earlier this week, he said they have a bunch on order but not sure when they will show up. I just bought a new kioti zero turn. Picking it up this week so i will have some videos on that soon.

Ya that would be nice. I tried to help out by making that wiring diagram. Im actually working with Kioti right now to make some upgrade kits for the compact tractors. LED upgrade and this touchscreen system after some more testing. They want me to set one up for display and do the installs.

No that all just fizzled out. They didnt have any stock at the time and i have since moved 4 hours away. Would be a great option to have available. I love having it.
Hello guys. I have my second kioti NS6010 well I tint all windows 5% super dark and also I installed the LED lights in your video and also camara front and rear thank you for the advice. Your videos always have all the details amazing good job keep it up!

How do those speakers work with no stereo to power them ? I plug my phone into the usb connection and dont have a radio in my DK10 Cab and wondered how the Speakers are powered unlike a Car Stereo powering the Speakers ?
In mine there is a switch on the left side. It says aux and stereo. If you flip it to aux your phone will power the speakers
Also the factory usb jack is just for charging. You have to use the 3mm aux jack to play music though your phone
Was there anything inside the roof that you had to disconnect before removing the roof? I removed the 6 nuts & washers and can pick up the front but the back is not coming up. It looks like the inside vent has a spring and some other connection. Any information is appreciated!
I had to cut a small slit in the fresh air vent cover to remove it. Once you do that you should be able to get the roof off.

Great video. Going to get a new stereo for my ck3510. Those new wires you ran going back to the camera, are they just like an extension cord for the longer run ?
Thanks, the rear camera is made for a license plate mount. So it comes with an extension cable that will go the length of a vehicle. You will need another 2 conductor 18 gauge wire from the head unit to the rear camera for the dc power and the red tail on the camera wire. Hopefully that helps. thanks for watching!
Hey Kyle I am wiring up the same Boss unit and was gonna wire the Boss Harness to a Kioti #TR-1500 Pigtail Harness and just wondered if the wiring you did here worked out ok ?
I thought i cut the plug off the old unit. Did you see the wiring diagram i made in the install video? Not sure if that helps answer your question

Did the anti glare screen cover help,with seeing the screen in the bright day?
Its hasnt showed up yet. It looked worse in the video. Im sure the anti glare will help some. I’ve contemplated getting the windows tinted too just to keep it cooler in the cab. Would also help with any glares.

Ok so that back up camera is a pain how did you do it I’ve watch the video over and over and still can’t get the thing to work
Hey boss I wanna do the same thing with my bobcat tractor. How does the back up camera activate? Not like there's a reverse gear as it's in the pedals, how does it know when to activate to reverse or can you choose to display the backup camera all the time. Sorry for the confusing explanation
All good. You just hit the camera option on the touchscreen and it will turn on until you shit it off. You can still play the radio too. Works well.
Does the music shut off when the back up camera is displayed?
It does not. I have it set up where you can turn the camera on manually and leave it on. Doesnt effect the radio
Where did you find the brass threaded insert for the microphone?
I either got it from the hardware store or McMaster Carr
The 9 inch version is sold out. Will the 10 inch work and fit just as well?
I would imagine it would. Theres still a bit of space around it. The extra weight may not be ideal. Just be sure to really secure the head unit.
