She eats healthy “fresh food”, always smiling, no anger what’s so ever, definitely use to burn her calories while farming, even though they earn less money they use to stay happy and they use to share, care and help each other’s (neighbors, friends, relatives). Now everyone is in race for money and forgetting about our families, even little kids are getting angry and annoyed, fast food, spend most of the time in electronic gadgets, forget about helping each other we don’t know who our neighbors are. Above all this air his polluted with vehicle smoke, water his contaminated with industrial waste, tress have been converted to flyovers bridge. we expect to live 100+ years?

We die of preventable diseases every day, our immune systems are coddled by the pharmaceutical industry, and the stress mentality of western culture shaves even more years off our lifespans. Human life expectancy is supposed to grow over generations, as it has across history, but first world nations--the U.S. in particular--have produced a generation of heart disease and obesity that still needs to be fixed. Compare that to people living in places like this village, where they don't have as much technology or infrastructure, but they live happily to 100 years old.

Regarding the comments on the "unhygienic" preparation of the food, consider the fact that this isn't the western world, where we westerners developed different immune systems, eat hormone- and chemical-induced food, stave off illness/minor malaise by doping ourselves up with pharmaceutical drugs, and die of heart disease and cancer decades before reaching this woman's age. The way she prepares food is suitable for the digestive and immune systems of the people in that village. Yeah, if you're a westerner and you ate food prepared this way, you'd probably get sick. But that's because of a difference in stomach composition. Overall, the people in this village are likely healthier and sturdier than we are.

Situations in Pakistan and Bangladesh are not better. Turning the blind eye on the problem or making up excuses like "western stomach composition" doesn't help. Recognizing the problem, building toilets and hygiene education does. P.S. Her daughter, my grandmother, lived to be 94. I don't think I'll live as long as they did because I didn't grow up like that.

Here I am in the United States people much younger suffering from alzheimers, dementia, and poor health because we are so far removed from the land.
