• A comparison of the nephron handling of three different substances: glucose, inulin, and para-aminohippuric acid (PAH)
• The typical urine-plasma (U-P) ratios for these substances at both low and high plasma concentrations
• How to calculate the renal clearance of a substance using the urine concentration, plasma concentration, and urine flow rate
• How to mathematically and graphically represent the relative inulin U-P ratio.
• How to use the results of the relative inulin U-P ratio to determine if a substance is undergoing net secretion or reabsorption
