The best thing about active aero parts is that they are, well... ACTIVE. You can fine tune the vehicle for any situation using logic or manual inputs of all kinds (hello accumulators), making the conventional aero parts obsolete (not in terms of looks, I must say). You can also use wedge parts to generate downforce/lift in strategic spots, to the point you don't even need actual aero parts. My best planes don't have any wing parts whatsoever, making them look much better and still perform on a great level of realism/usability.
damn, 800h on this game and i never noticed how the spoilers actually work, feeling dumb rn i guess i just never really used them if not for aestethics
Great vid, very technical, but I'm not sure about calculations at 5:41. You didn't count the downforce from wedge block and I think those produce downforce as well. Would be cool to see more experiments on that.
man your videos are great, I couldnt find any vid explaining spoiler aero blocking situation. I'd love a video on wheels, which wheels are best for what purpose (are the racing wheels worth using for really anything? lol). Plus great cars, would love to see more of your builds
When making my performance cars with active aero using the flaps I run in to a bug were when going 250 mph a shaking starts and it gets so bad a 300 mph it just explodes Edit: the other wings don’t produce the amount of downforce as the flaps
When I'm in an unintuitive competition and my opponent is trailmakers aerodynamics
When I clicked on this Video i did not anticipate that amount of Quality. Keep it up!

very insightful, i will keep this in mind when building cars. gl on ur yt journey!
Bro the amount of information in this video is INSANE! Taught me a bunch about downforce that I had no clue about!

literally SAME.
great explanation. Looking forward to more races
You can use gimbals on negative thrust for insane downforce aswell as using upside down flap wings for the active aero
Bro, i have a little more than 850 hours in this game and i didnt know any of these. Thank you so much!
I have always wondered how the active aero worked compared to base spoilers, especially since the motorhead update. fantastic work on the research.
_THIS is exactly what i needed thank you a ton_

Support is what I shall give you. Looking forward to your next video.
Underrated channel! You're so thorough with your videos, keep it up!

UPLOAD THSI CARRR
One big thing NOT mentioned is the downforce generated by slanted blocks. And how speed affects the aero. Good science so far thiugh.
@scrapman needs to see this

Great work!
Can someone tag scrapman
is it actually posible to make a plane using upsidedown car wings? i mean it is and inverted plane wing irl,
good video!
could you amke a video explaining the logic blocks? i dont understand them at all and would apriciate it.
thanks
Good job, very useful video. thanks.
This video is treasure bro!!!
W video
Thanks man
Yo do you wanna play?
Nice video too I just wanna tag scrapman to see @scrapman
Good idea actually
