His speed control in this match was just sickeningly good, even for Ronnie O'Sullivan. So many of these shots he literally couldn't have gotten better position if he picked up the white and hand-planted it.

No, it's not. You score 2 points.
Even in a free ball, if you pot the nominated ball and the ball-on in a single shot, it is also legal. But, if the ball-on was a colour, only one pot is scored.
@Larry Smith If the second colour ball potted was the ball on, it is a legal shot but only one pot counts. Eg. Five colours remain on the the table, your nominated free ball is the blue and you pot blue and green in one shot. In this case, you score 3 points, the blue is spotted, the green remain off the table and the brown is now the ball on.
@Larry Smith The free ball is considered the ball on, including its value when scoring or fouling. It is 1 point if the ball on is the red. In the example above, if you had potted only the nominated blue (not the green), you'd have scored 3 points and the ball on would still be the green. The example involves only the final 5 balls, without the yellow.
Wilson was too careless not to exploit all those mistakes from Ronnie, the two were complacent imho

Karen Wilson will never be a snooker superstar. When he had a chance to win the match he just put the black safe and when he sees his opponent get lucky he takes it too personally. He’s a good player who won’t ever be great unless he changes his attitude.
