The thing is, giant gauntlet doesnt just give you a damage reduction: it will also give you splash damage (insane value against compact bases), passive self healing and a huge passive dps boost (even higher than rage vial). Doesnt matter if you're using your king for funneling, hero dive or for tanking, giant gauntlet will always be the best equipment.
1. If the king is going around the base then splash damage is worthless as I pointed out in the video. Yes it’s amazing for smash attacks and compact bases again as I pointed out in the video. 2. The passive self healing is nothing compared to the Vampstache and it even is a bit pitiful compared to the rage vial considering its health recovery of 1890. It would take 42.95 seconds of slow health increase from the gauntlet to equal this amount of health boost and that’s only after the king starts receiving damage and not when the king is full health. You don’t get to choose when to use health recovery on the giant gauntlet when you do with the rage vial. That’s a massive strategic advantage. 3. Yes the passive dps boost is more than the rage vial but the active damage increase on the rage vial which the giant gauntlet does not have is +155% for 10 seconds. That’s a ton of damage for 10 seconds. Comparable to the “ton of tanking” on the giant gauntlet for 17 seconds. Again through the middle of the base? Giant gauntlet. Need to funnel around the outside? Rage vial. So yes it matters if you are using your king for funneling, hero dive, or tanking. The giant gauntlet is only better for tanking and hero dives. The other pieces are better for the situations I presented. No the giant gauntlet is not always the best piece of equipment for every situation.
Hey and just to add if you want to use the giant gauntlet for every situation and don’t want to mess with the details then honestly these are minor minor differences in these pieces of equipment and they’re not going to make a huge difference in an attack tbh. I’m not going to not be able to 3 star because I forgot to have the rage vial or giant gauntlet on my king. Ultimately use what’s best for you. 😊
If they keep dropping hero equipment without bettering the ore economy, i dont see how players will have fun. we cant even use or upgrade all the current equipment if we wanted to, and they keep releasing more and more.
Yeah I see it as a problem too but I think from the standpoint of maxing out two pieces and then having choices beyond that it’s not necessarily a bad thing as long as any of the new pieces continue to be as balanced as the current pieces are.
@@ClashTipsPod everybody thinks we are getting hero equipment too quickly keep in mind the hero equipment was just introduced a few months back so it feels like a lot at once on top of that. No one is saying the Giant Gauntlet isn't the best. It is by far the best, no question. Absolutely OP. Most pair it with the rage vial, some the stache, but I don't know what to tell someone if they aren't using at least the Gauntlet.
Max Vamp stache and Max Barb puppet + Frosty, is my go to. For my AQ, I use Ice Arrow (23) and Barb Puppet max with the Unicorn. Warden is max Healing Tome and fireball(19) with the Owl
It doesnt make sense to justify not using the giant gauntlet with "it's better to use the vampstache" because neither of them are default gear and both need to upgraded from lvl 1. That means all the ores you wasted on vampstache could have gone towards the gauntlet which is far better in the vast majority of situations. I see what you were trying to do here and I think ppl who didnt unlock the gauntlet will be fine... but trash take that its actually better to invest ore into other non-default gear.
I don’t disagree that if you are going up to th16 then it’s not a bad idea to invest in the giant gauntlet from the get go, but I also made it clear in the video that I will not be taking these accounts up. Therefore I will be investing in the pieces that work with attacks I use at these th levels. Also I wanted to show how all pieces are great in certain situations. The nuance I tried to relay in the video is key.
@@ClashTipsPod I hear you. I appreciate the different angle because most TH-camrs really seem to be talking about all these “new and OP”, “must use epic equipment”, “invest in these new pieces” blah blah blah and people are losing sight of the fact that there is no plug and chug and you can get a lot of value with many different combinations. I’m interested how you see the RC equipment situation. As a th14 w default lvl 15 gear, would you invest in the new hog puppet from scratch, or wait until th15 to invest in the haste vial or maybe wait to see what her new epic is all about? I agree with your take on the seeking shield being simply outclassed so those are the only legitimate options I see. Would love to see a video talking about it cause a lot of ppl are kinda lost with the RC atm.
@@jadon3776 thank you for the encouragement :-) I do think the haste vial is likely the “best” piece of equipment but also requires the most skill because if a player sends it in just anywhere she might not last long. So kind of like my Healer Puppet/Frozen Arrow perspective, the hog puppet gives the average player the most wiggle room and has been what I have been using on my th6 once it reached level 12. On my lower accounts where my shield started out much lower I’ve just switched over the shield to the hog puppet once they are equal level which has been around 8 or 9. Im not investing in the shield at all at this point on any of my accounts. Could it become OP in conjunction with the rocket spear? Possibly but I guess we’ll have to wait and see lol
Healer puppet offers the best in slot sustain while freeing up lots of troop space; pros are using it plenty and its not a sleeper pick at all. I use it in combination with the giant arrow for additional front end damage and sniping air defenses.
Yeah, dont QC with epic if you only noobers . its a waste attack if you do not know how to manage it when in a difficult situation . i dont mind what best equiptment to use in war either, just learn and make your own plan strategy and what is important is, what you choose to upgrade first without hesitation . for me all equiptment are very useful for heroes. I dont call any of it useless . The key to success is in your hand and mind .
I also don't like to go with the flow, for example for my warden eq't i prefer rage gem rather than healing tome because in townhall 16 you already have tanky troops that doesn't need much healing what you need is a quicker destruction speed before the new multi defenses wipe your troops altogether so yeah i agree, also both epic equipments are way overrated and i actually was disappointed by both frozen arrow and gauntlet
I'm still in th11, so I can't use healer puppet yet. Can you suggest any good equipment to upgrade since i have limited ore. I only have archer puppet, invisibility vial, giant arrow and magic mirror.
The invis vial and magic mirror are a toss up on which you want to throw ore into with the magic mirror doing more overall damage but the invis vial coming in clutch with power shots for some attacks but I would pick one and ignore the other. Giant arrow is used a decent amount in higher ths so maybe those two pieces would be best to focus on if you’re looking at power in the future. If you only want power now at th11 then invis vial and archer puppet will get you there most quickly.
@@ClashTipsPod would it not then make sense to start investing in them early? I mean a level here and there won't kill you to be prepared and ahead of the game later.
