Yin and yang (or yin-yang) is a complex relational concept in Chinese culture that has developed over thousands of years.
Briefly put, the meaning of yin and yang is that the universe is governed by a cosmic duality, sets of two opposing and complementing principles or cosmic energies that can be observed in nature.
The cosmological process of yin and yang, stating that their interaction leads to the creation of the heavens, earth, and human life.
This interaction shows that everything in the universe is interconnected and follows a natural order.

Yin and yang, also yinyang or yin-yang,is a concept that originated in Chinese philosophy, describing an opposite but interconnected, self-perpetuating cycle. Yin and yang can be thought of as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts. The technology of yin and yang is the foundation of critical and deductive reasoning for effective differential diagnosis of disease and illnesses within Confucian influenced traditional Chinese medicine.
