Spearing Giant Pike ((Busch Light Can Decoy!!))

Just went spearing with a friend for the first time on my grandparents private lake he were out for about 10 hrs had about 8 come in but only a few would actually come in the hole we think we drilled the hole to big and they were seeing us is that common?

Dewy, that could be possible, I drill a fairly large hole and don't have an issue with Pike seeing me. Make sure that when a fish comes in, don't be very loud or cause ripples on the water in your hole. I definitely believe the Pike can see that.

Hard saying. I drill my hole with a 10" auger 5 hopes one way 6 the other. Some days they are just finicky. Will come in hot and heavy next day they barely nose in the hole and spook off

Use a can opener for beer can top removal works great no stitches.

Try a spear by 406 spears. I use them and I think they have the ice spear figured out

I prefer a ice house with a floor. Improves visibility. All light should come from the hole in the ice.
