I remember going to the one down in NC, on our way from WV to Myrtle Beach. It was the truth! It had all kinds of the best arcade games, it had laser tag, and it even had an indoor roller coaster (which honestly wasn't too bad). They also had a virtual reality headset that you could pay to use. It was primitive as hell compared to today's VR headsets. But for 1993, it was outta this freakin world.

Watching this video is a HUGE flashback!!! I loved going to Exhilarama when I was a kid and remember all of the rides that were shown is this video - I don't remember the lazer tag or the little jungle jim pay pin thingy.

I remember getting an all day ride pass here a couple of times. The rides were decent here too. The entrance to this place was right off the food court area. This malls food court used to be called The Picnic. This unfortunately may be gone but the mall it was in is still one of the busiest in Houston.

+Joseph McGlothlin We don't know. This was a promo video that played on TV monitors throughout the facility. It was probably shot shortly after the store opened.

This had to be at least 1996 or after if u look at the drexler jersey the kid is wearing on 5:21 that jersey didn't come out until late '96 so it could be that year or later

As a die hard Rockets fan, especially back in those days, I gotta give you mad props for knowing that. Indeed, those jerseys were not worn until the 95-96 season. I think they came out just in time for Christmas in 1995; so you might as well say 1996.

I think you're right and it's probably past 1996. I worked there from 1993-1994 and a lot of this was new to me. I don't think the "Rockin" ride (at 5:05 or so) existed, nor the car driving games against the wall in the early stage. Man, this brought back memories! It was fun to work there, insofar as minimum-wage jobs can be fun.
I worked the Virtuality games, the Laser Tag, and lusted after the Battletech mech games (but only rarely got to play after the place closed, if the workers there felt like opening it up for a little fun). The Virtuality games didn't have the car thing, either. It was just stand-up, on the podiums. They put them right inside the front entrance, so people passing by into the mall could see them. A lot of other stuff looks different too. This video really does take me back - thanks for posting it. I can't imagine where you got it from!
