@@pickinlessons. Hi, I need help. I have the dots for more Irish/Scottish traditional music than you can shake a hairy stick at. I can read the music for my fiddle. I can’t choose the chords to accompany on the guitar, not for me but my guitar playing friend. He prides !! himself on not being able to read music. I can’t stand the never ending “play it again” cycle when we try to work on something new.
I’m now getting my guitar out and trying to teach myself to figure out the chord selection myself. Can you advise because want to work on new material and we’re getting nowhere. In other words I’m having to work on the guitar which is fine , but I’d prefer the fiddle.

Paradox:at least to me, the B section is easier to learn to play as written, but harder to nail the way the melody the way it's supposed to sound according to your video, whereas the A section is harder to learn to play smoothly, but easier to nail the way the melody sounds in your video recording.
