Finally I found someone that actually uses her artistic talents and explains to all of us step by step!!!! YEAYYYYYYYYYYYYY Thank you, I do a little bit of everything, but I am a children's book writer but when I am in my "ART," mood I lov eto make Miniature houses either with the Amazon boxes, or cigar boxes, I personalize them and always choose a theme , I never make the same houses each one is unique, so thank you sweetheart , I truly loved every single piece that u made!!
+Elle Bleu Moon Thank you so much! Your sweet comment put a huge smile on my face. I so appreciate you watching and commenting! I would love to see some of your work as well.
Thank you for the information you've demonstrated here. I have a few pieces I was wondering how to finish and I was unsure about using resin and you instructions on the different kinds have inspired me to carry on! Thanks for posting.
I like the effect of this. The resin seems less wasteful than the one where you have to mix two parts together, as you only use what you need. Thanks for showing us. Hugs Lynn
the clothes pin idea is really cool. i have quite a few just laying around. i might just use this idea to jazz them up. and the Journal pieces are so pretty especially the charming pieces you made. The bottle caps are very unique as well. very beautiful too
Thanx Tara. Your embellishments are beautiful. I need to remember incorporate bling into my resin pieces. Thanx for the inspiration and sharing your talent, Sara
I was looking for resin pendant tutorials, and stumbled across this. Even though it wasn't what I was looking for, I just had to watch because these projects are so beautiful.
love all your creations & thank you so much for sharing I'm going to try this out. I have used modge podge & glossy accents but this turns out stunning. thank you for showing us how easy it is
Thank you Karen! The flame pops any bubbles you may have in your piece. I'm not sure about how far a bottle will go because it depends on how big your pieces are and how many layers you add.
Thank you, Nurse Tamara. You are so generous, that's why The Lord Blesses you. I need to make eyes for a figure out of wood I did. Your tutorial video is the most helpful. Hopefully we could see your own eyes some how.
Now where the heck was this video yesterday when I used my Susan Lenart Kazmer Ice Resin syringe for the very first time! I absolutely LOVE the way your dominoes turned out, will use this for the covers of the next domino book I make. Thanks so much for posting this video, Tara!
You are so creative I like watching you when I can find the video because I am so busy with setting up craft room from storage and my health is not good so when I am not sick I am doing as much as I can I sick since Friday but have to get back up tomorrow for repot som plants for part a order on March 16th.
Perfect timing! My granddaughter just bought some resin, and asked me if I needed anything made. Well now I have to go buy resin for myself!!! Thank you!
This was very helpful! I only knew about the 2 part resin and was thinking that would be wasteful if I didn't do a lot of projects at one time. I like the UV resin best. Quick turn around time and seems like you can do a lot of projects with that small bottle. TFS! Hugs! Carolyn
I love this totorial. I make a lot of things with resin, but I was always wondering if I could put it on something that wasn't in a mold. I just got a big order of decorative paper and it has beautiful tags and pieces I would love to do that to...happy to see everything doesn't have to be in a mold. And it won't run off? I use the 2 part resin. Thanks for sharing. You have a blessed day.
I totally understand, the climate here changes every day! Thats why I opted to invest in the light. You may able to find them on e-bay also if you don't have somewhere local to buy one.
I love your projects. I was waiting on your tuturial especially for using resin on altered dominoes, but you have provided other geat ideas. Thank you for providing product information in your tutorial. Love look of the UV resin, but I don't have the UV light source. Can't wait to see more of your ideas!!! tfs
Your tutorial gives me more confidence regarding the use of resin. I am wondering if you wanted to incorporate a hole in the center (top for a necklace) of your embellishment...would you put the hole in first or after...and if you apply a hole before the resin..how do you keep the hole from filling up with resin? I feel like I've found gold...finding your tutorial!
One great thing about using UV resin is the quick curing time means that you don't have nearly the problem with dust, pet hair/dander, pollen, tiny bugs or whatever is in the air getting into the resin, like you do with the resins that take hours to cure. Sometimes even covering pieces with long-curing resins while they cure doesn't solve this problem. Also, the ability to add more layers of resin immediately is great, especially if you do a lot of this type of project. With the long-curing resins, each additional layer of resin will add as much as another day of curing time that it takes to complete your project.
Hi my name is Madelyn I'm new at this. I've been watching different videos on different products. I like the way u explan on how to use the resin on different item. Thanks for sharing.
love video thk u! Just learning how to do this with my pics. What kind of paper are you using? And was hoping to see how you added loop on bottle caps. Pls show bks of pieces as done if u can or do u have video already doing so? Thks!
I am going to try and make a front grill badge for my Oldsmobile Bravada using these techniques. It seems as if people love to remove the badges from cars like this & sell them on Ebay I guess, so often times they are missing as mine was when I bought the truck last year. And they are hard to find and real expensive if you even can find one. But making one I think is possible, and the supplies are perhaps not unduely expensive, so I'll give it a shot soon.
Thank you and thanks for watching! I love glossy accents just as much as the next person but now mostly use it as an adhesive. Glossy accents doesn't even compare to finish you get when using resin. Thanks again!
Thank you for your tutorial, very impressive! .. I was wondering if this material you used works with terracotta tiles, it looks like it would work nicely on any hard surface. Thanks again for the inspiration Nurse Tara.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! As far as camera/set up, I use a Sony Bloggie Touch, a tripod from Target and Corel VideoStudio Pro x6 for my editing. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for your tutorial! Your very talented! I love watching resin ones. I'm ready to start doing them. Can you please do a coaster one? Thank you again.
So cute. Love them all. The flowers and bottle caps are my favorites. Thank you for the tutorial. What does the flame do? Also, how far will a bottle of resin go?
I have to two part resin but have you tried spraying alcohol on them to get rid of the bubbles? And by the way the those clothes pins are fierce Lady!!
Thanks for a great tutorial! You mentioned that you would leave info regarding what products you used but I can't seem to find them. I am interested especially in the sticker/stamp you used with the chandelier. Thank you.
You're welcome and thanks for watching! That stamp set was given to me by a friend, I know that it is a Prima stamp set but unsure of the name. I will have to dig it out and get back to you for the name.
Tara this was a great video I really liked this thanks for this tutorial, were did you get the clothes pins from? and I have the Envirotex Lite resisn.
Hi! Great video. I have some questions. What did you use to glue the scrap paper to the domino and also if I use the resin epoxy (the first one you showed in the box) will I need a UV light? I would prefer to use that one. Thanks, Juliana
Tara! Awsome as always.... Naturally I'm broke again after visiting the web store LOL. Do you think one of the UV Gel nail lights @ W almart would work? I will get the Pavelka one w/ coupon if necessary
Hi, New Subbie here.....The "Charming" piece.....what type of paper did you use to create that one? I am a first time user with the 2-part resin process. I am using glossy phot paper to print my images on but I wanted them to be a bit thicker like the "charming" piece you had in the video. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for sharing these video! I am trying to find blank domino and have not found it yet. I have searched on line, Hobby Lobby, Michaels. Please help me to find them.
Great tutorial!!! Thank you so much. I make hairbows for my girls and i usually buy the embellishments for the middle. It will save me alot of money doing it this way. I love all of your ideas. Do you use glue to attach the items to the card stock ? If so what kind. Thanks again
Oh..just one question....if I can find either of those resins, do you have to have a UV light to harden?... Or will they naturally harden without the UV light?
Lol! I'm sorry Kim, I was finished recording on Friday but editing and re editing is a very long process. I'm glad you like the tutorial, can't wait to see your dominoes! Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
I just found your channel 3 days ago, and I learn so much, thank you so much for cheering with us your wonderful ideas.
Thanks Lynn! I agree that's why I like the UV resin because you only use what you need!
