Thanks for the videos about this table, I break down old scrap motors / transformers / anything with valuable metals and I’m tired of all the dust that’s created. Being in Michigan doing everything outside just isn’t possible for a large part of the year. Thanks again!

I've been using it daily now for the past several months. Absolute game changer for my shouse. It's very obvious when I grind on something without using the table 🤮

@@doomsdaydiesel Awesome! I’m glad it’s holding up well. Any chance you have the model / part number for that metal filter? I’m not having much luck finding one.

Their metal version is much smaller and shorter, and more expensive - Hence why I modified this one instead.

Awesome video and mods. Glad to see you added the spark arresting filter. Most diy designs leave that out and I think it’s a major oversight. Why is this not good enough for mig welding? I want to build something very similar for Mig welding in my garage more safely.

Have you thought about skirting down to the catch pan to allow more cooling before contact to filter?

Thinking you might be able to get away with mig welding if you put a welding blanket down so most of the sparks are arrested before they get sucked into the fan. Then just dust the blanket into the collection when you’re done.
Edit: also what kind of fan does this table have? Is it a dust collector blower kind of fan or just an exhaust fan?

Do you have a link for the metal filter that you showed?

how has this worked out for grinding far?

Night & day difference. Smell zero residual when I'm done. Whereas before it'd stink up my entire 45x63 shop.

@@doomsdaydiesel Do you paint on it also? Thanks for the reply. I do a lot of CNC plasma and im tired of sweeping after grinding.

@@Ladarian_ I've only had to paint on once so far and that carbon filtered also did its job very well
