Haha... so funny about the ants and weeds! I love that you found a tiny fig amongst all the weeds! LMBO! You must have skipped lunch before this recording. Your reviews/vids are so real! I love it! Great reviews as usual! Thanks Ross!
I have a fig that I was hoping that you might recognize it from the fact the leaf tips before opening are pink tipped. None of my other figs are like that. It could be Celeste, RDB, Nigronne, Honey, because those are what I grafted and its the only one that took. I'm asking because I can't wait. Its been an ugly year and I wont get any figs ripening this year. I'm in the PNW.
I have a Juda Fig tree I got from One Green World that has the same characteristics of pinkish leaf tips and the leaf stem is reddish. It came in around 2 feet tall and is currently 7 feet tall and loaded with figs. Their site says ...An exciting new variety brought back from the Piedmont region of Italy by Jim Gilbert and Lorraine Gardner, Juda bears a small breba crop (I didn't get any in Zone 8A) followed by a large main crop of black skinned figs with a honey colored flesh. Figs have a thick honey sweetness with a slight jammy-berry flavor from the dark flesh. They have a picture but it really doesn't show the colors of the tips and the leaf stem color. Good luck!
Are there any figs for pots in 5 b and dormancy in a basement or garage, that require less than 8 hours of sun for good production? My 20 year old garden has gone from being full sun to part sun in every part of it now. I love the garden and the wonderful tall trees surrounding it., but have always loved figs and am still waiting for ripening😩
I have 5 trees and more figs than I can eat. What do you do with all the figs produced on those trees?

great video and great tour. thanks
I just ate my first two Brown Turkey figs from a tree I grafted last year...they were so good!
Can you do a video on any fig trees that can go in the ground without winter protection?
I'm in 7a so I should be able to grow what you grow.
I did a video on this earlier this year. Search in Google Ross Raddi hardiness or something. There's even a post on my blog.

Send me photos. I'll try my best.
@@RossRaddi I just by accident found a photo of the graft labeled . Negronne , so Mystery solved. thanks
I have a Ischia Black That is the same with pink tips!! 🙂
How do you do grafting and is it special time of the year to do it. I’m in north Florida.
You could do it now. Typically when temperatures are an average of 78 F.
Hey. I thought you said you were putting most of your figs in ground?
If they make the cut, they go in ground. Containers are for trialing or grafted trees.

My whole property doesn't get 8 hours.
I wasn't subscribed to you for some unknown reason!!
My left heel hurts like hell,I think it might be from eating too many figs. It might be the icecream too
Hey what is the best yellow fig? I am in zone 7b
For what purpose?
@@RossRaddi just for eating of the tree. I am from Germany so we might have some different varieties available.
@@AnCapKadse You do. Do you want a red or yellow interior?
@@RossRaddi I prefer yellow
How do you know Hative de Argenteuil is definitely from Europe? If that were true it should be known here but it’s not.
It's definitely from Europe, its a French variety.
@@Ilias_sp where is the source of this information? If it was French, people here would have heard of it.
The USDA imported it from Europe. This information should be tracked somewhere.
