    I bought this bag based on Russ’s review and it’s nice. Real well made, easy on-easy off, and great access and pretty affordable. It’s a good size for binoculars, phone, sandwhich, phone, that kind of thing. Good strap design. Plus, free, nice, mask with purchase over $50.

    It also looks like it has a little bit of MOLLE style webbing on the sides, which is nice.

    Just picked up this bag, overall a great size for carrying tools, lunch, a sweater/jacket, or a mirrorless camera (fuji xt30 with up to 55-200 fits). My only real issue is the head tube loop gets loose very easily (may be due to the short distance for my bike and the buckle angle because of that), so I just replaced it with some Velcro (cheap and secure)

    I have that bag as well. One thing I think could be better is the length of the strap. At least if you're using it as a sling bag when off the bike. It's not long enough to wear it relatively low near your hip. At least not if you're tall.

    That additional idea for a "Gravel Specific" patch on it needs to be submitted to Chrome. ASAP! Great video as always! 😎👍

    Nice comparison to the Outer Shell - I absolutely love that bag and it works perfectly as a camera bag for me, but for any other uses I find it a bit small. This looks to be a better EDC size.

      My current EDC bike bag is Chrome’s Cardiel Shank, and when I saw this one I knew I was gonna end up with it... double track bag claims a liter more capacity than the shank, and being able to attach it to the bars is gonna be a game changer. Can’t wait to get my hands on one!

    I noticed in parts of the video you were wearing a Garmin Instinct watch. Nice watch. I have the same one. I'm not sure if you use that for any of your adventures. I'm also not sure if you've already reviewed the watch, but it would be nice to see what your thoughts were on it. No questions about this bag because as always this was a very informative video. Keep up the great work.

    • @RideAlongside
      @RideAlongside 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Instinct is also on my wrist when recording my rides and hikes. It’s a fantastic watch. Well worth the money. Not a great smart watch, but it does send you notifications. It’s a great cycling computer for tracking routes and heart rate, but I recommend a separate heart rate strap while cycling since the wrist angle can throw off the BPM. I really like the sunset/sunset times on its main face and the other digital watch functions (alarm, stop watch, countdown, etc). It gives elevation pretty well too, but doesn’t do so well for storm alerts nor temperature unless it’s off your wrist and on the bars. That’s MY review. Would also like to hear Russ’ opinion.

    Unfortunately missing any reflectivity or visibility component. I can't tell you how many times as a driver even a small reflective element on a bike or cyclist has made me see them when I might not have. Considering the color, and the fact that most bikes this will be wont have reflectors....well maybe I'll order one AND a Safety Pizza at the same time, lol

  • @tve1964
    @tve1964 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    KlickFix was (is) very successful because handlebar bags are being put on and off the bike constantly + keeping the bag away from the bar gives more room for other stuff or for the hands. And now fashionable bags come back to straps and webbing Takes some effort and time to remove and gets in the way riding. And you don't even mention this point, Russ.
    I just don't get it. Human beings are so weird.

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You caught me. The big anti KlikFix conspiracy. I’ve used them in the past and they are fine. I have multiple bikes and I don’t have multiple mounts so it is a pain in the ass to move from bike to bike. Those anti rotation wires that are used in KF mounts arent designed for multiple installations. I also don’t like how most bags that use KlikFix mounts position them so the bag sits really high and screws with steering.

    • @tve1964
      @tve1964 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PathLessPedaledTV True, klick fix mounts aren't engineered to be moved around bikes. They cost $20 a pop, and my first one is over 25 years old and still going . If a simple $60 "EDB" bag can be considered budget friendly buying a couple of extra mounts shouldn't be a problem.
      As for the conspiracy theory, I really don't get it. It's sad you take it like that when fans don't see it like you. Isn't there enough of this around already? I was just surprised you don't mention Kilickfix (or the pain to put on/off the bar) in your video, that's all. I totally respect anyone and you even more who doesn't like them. I'm actually interested in understanding why you don't fancy them ( as you just explained above). Maybe my own wording was badly chosen when I write about "human beings being weird".
      That relates to how our opinions are being shaped by fashions and trends.
      I find it very ironic that handlebar bags have been considered very old fashioned and criticized for being awkward to install on handlebars, to the point that they completely vanished from the market 20 years ago. Klikfix and others found a solution (although not perfect, I suppose) and consequently HB bags have been back and praised for many years. Now fashionable bags such as those you put forward all share this common "feature" that they are a pain to attach/detach to the HB and they make KlickFix look old fashion. It is that circular thing about fashion/trends which I find weird about human beings. Very often, "objective" reasons are put forward for these changes but in reality, it is just the desire to look cool and different that drives all this.

    • @PathLessPedaledTV
      @PathLessPedaledTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tve1964 I don't know where you're getting them for $20. They are closer to $30 or $35. If you like them great. Once again, there is only one bag that I've used and tested that uses a Klickfix mount which I like. Almost every bag that uses them places the mount in the center raising half the bag above the handelbar which screws up the handling of a bike. I don't care if you disagree with me but your original comment was vaguely insulting and insinuated that I was somehow purposefully negelecting to mention Klickfix. If I mentioned every possible variation of products I tested and different modifications each video would be an hour long.

    • @tve1964
      @tve1964 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PathLessPedaledTV They can be purchased from 15€ in Europe on several e-commerce sites.
      "your original comment was vaguely insulting" OMG! I sincerlely apologize for that. I shall be more careful in the future.
      I agree that Klikckfix bags tend to raise too high. I find it a problem for heavy Rando bags. Yet for "EDC" bags, it isn't so much an issue, given the smaller size and weight. Ease of use is paramount.
