Conspiracy: Sandra the cashier was the monster. In episode 2, the campers said something kept anyone who went to the shop, at the shop. Sandra begged Mrs. McKinley to stay in episode 1 when she tried to leave. Also Sandra had red eyes. Jonathon saw red eyes in the fire.
Theory: Jonathan (Or Yogurt) on his opening day of his new shop, his business partner (Is it Jones? She was the manager when the fire took place.)(the OTHER co-founder of what we know today as "The Odd Shop") sends Jonneh of to do something while he (being the take-charge-everyone-gimme-twenty kind of guy he was,) did everything else, like hanging out in a managers seat talking with non-existent friends. So, Jonathan wanders off to the edge of the forest when he hears a vicious growling noise, curious, he pushes back the bushes and the evil monster with red glowing eyes in which we have seen in previous episodes. Angrily, the hideous what-ever-it-is cursed the settlement, it was all gone, except for the shop, which burned down, everyone was thought to die, except for Jonathan, and Jones. Jones rebuilt the shop, while Yogurt went senile. NOTE_ I'm missing something about "bees" Jonathan must have a distant memory of bees, as he speaks the word in a terrified manner.
