The thing I've noticed with g1 to low p2 is people also think they're way better than they are. Lower golds for the most part are willing to listen to advice as long as they're told in a constructive way

I remember we would 4 man Rank, we never had a 5th because we never really clicked with anyone. Till we met a random in Casual. He was a Bronze Player that we took in. Just a bit of coaching and he adapted quickly. We had him playing in high Plat lobbies within a week.
We picked him up because we watched him try to throw a grenade through a door, it hit the wall bounced back and killed a guy standing directly behind him trolling. After that I knew he was the one.

Seriously, i've been stuck in gold for a few seasons, and there were times I didn't want to actually get plat just because of people like that kid, with passive-agressive toxicity and sarcasm that just makes me want to punch them in the face. This poor gold dude maybe isn't worth plat right now, but damn I am sure he would have done way better without these toxic morons. Damn, ASK him, because I'm sure he felt legit paralysed.

I feel so bad for the gold player. Some of those plats had a huge ego, plus the backseat gaming was insane. This was a destructive and unhelpful environment for him and honestly if I were him I would consider quitting the game after that experience. It's not your fault, Garfield, you had no way of knowing how they would act.

Maybe you should put an age restricion for video featuring, or at least not pick obviously underaged kids. Not all kids are giant egos, I've met some insanely talented kids who are actually really humble.i say this as a 22 y.o.
I feel like there should be some sort of way to "vet" potential candidates for videos like this. It ruins the atmosphere and makes people play worse. The only counter is if he deserves Plat, then these stacks will pop up, and if he does good with them he'll do good with a better stack

A lot of Plats think they can just frag their way to the top. But being a team player, even in solo queue, is more valuable than just getting kills.
Let me clear a thing up, plat 3s are always the ones With the biggest egos, and the fact that plat 3 is basically an extension of gold makes me mad.
It makes me annoyed that plats like the talk down against gold players like you're just a higher rank doesn't mean you're better player overall don't try to ego

If more golds or any rank for that matter actually took the time to communicate and do team based plays, there would be less people like the gold in this vid. Not comm'ing in any rank makes it start to feel like you can only watch out for yourself and can't rely on teammates. We've all had those bad moments where randoms don't comm or cover for you then you lose. I feel bad for him, he has had to deal with no comms and probably bad teammates for a long time.

Solo queue is where you see someone watching a door behind you only to get shot from that same door when they arbitrarily stare at a wall for a second.
I’ve played so much Siege to the point that these are the quintessential, super condescending platinum players you meet typically in ranked, that will have bruised egos. Most of them just monkey peek, don’t really help with good comms for the gold or even help clear comms and don’t feed him the relevant information for a push.
They also don’t call for relevant ops for a strat to run, or a basic setup on defense or what area to push on attack/ops required for utility burning, or getting the wall off basic reinforced areas to attack. In one example, they didn’t even tell the dude they were doing a consolidated push to 90.
They only droned each other once AND THAT WAS THE BEGINNING, and it was a pretty poor showing of droning and direction. I quit playing ranked as consistently as I did back from 2018-2020. But I can tell you, these players here you will meet in ranked and are plentiful, especially in Plat 3.
Honestly he needs a new team. Or just remove that toxic kid. Still a good video like always.

when i started the game me and my friends after couple of months were sitting solidly at high gold and low plat (we played for like 3 seasons)
back in 2017, I learnt back then that in this game high ranks gives you more stress than gold and I stopped playing as well and as sweatily and settled in lower gold when I started playing and drinking alcohol at the same time, I became one of those people who you always hear playing drunk, but I still played relatively well
now I haven't played the game at all for so many years
manly because how I feel the game went down with each new operator, i also mainly played hostage ranked when it still was a thing
after hostage was no longer a thing i stopped playing the game at all... ahh so many good memories but still
i don't regret a thing

Honestly I think this guy played a hell of a lot better than all those plats there, he's just gotta find someone to queue with that isn't as immature as those guys, someone the same rank as him so he they can rank up together, I'd totally play with this guy, the only problem with me is that I can read English, I can write in English and I can speak English, but I cannot listen to people speaking English 😎 (actually I can but like, 30% of the words people say just go in one ear and out the other). Also English isn't my first language so, that's why.

putting any solo player with 4 people he doesn’t know is hard. I’ve been very lucky to have met people on this game that work well with me, we play off each other. I’ve definitely played with people like this that seem to think they’re better than they are, it’s hard to play like that.

5 minutes in and its already very informative. I used to play solo a bit back in Aruni’s season and i feel like ive already learned what ive been doing wrong when i play the game (which isnt often anymore because i stopped playing because solo is meh)

A lot of plats I’ve come across have huge egos they think they know everything, then they die and blame everyone else but themselves. But one thing I hate the most is when they backseat the rest of the round calling someone trash because they can’t clutch

I myself 100% agree with Doc on this. That a lot of people once they hit plat look down on gold's. I've been Gold for most of the years I've played R6 and finally this season I got to hit plat. And I'll just say I have respect for gold's. Those are some of the toughest matches I've ever had was against gold's and most of them in my opinion deserve platinum.

Bro straight up, Platinum used to be some much easier to get into back in Y3-Y4, now I feel like I'm playing aimbots every game. It's crazy how much the skill gap has increased these past few years. I used to be a solid P1 player, able to play support and still frag out every round. Now I feel like I get destroyed. Honestly as well respect to the gold, I remember my second season of siege was Chimera, and I was playing consistently with plat 1 and 2 players while I was still a G3 and competing.

I know what it is like to be under pressure as a newcomer to a team as i played csgo with my older brother and his friends. I didn't talk much as i didn't have anything to talk about in general. I know that being in a team for the first time i felt like i couldn't play by myself and had to stick to the better players who would tell me what to do. once before playing some matches i warmed up my aim and played a bit more selfish but wtill helped if i was asked and that was when i started to really improve. I was helping the team and consistently fragging for the team as well despite having less playtime. Just don't fell like you have to stay next to your team and wait for them to tell you what to do as long as you communicate you can play more aggressive. Confidence is a huge part of any game.

IMO. There are two types of siege players. Players like the IQ who have a decent understanding of the game. But struggle due to lack of communication and less mechanical skill. Then there are players who have good mechanics and don’t rely on communication or strats. These players tend to do better and get higher ranked easier because of how siege works. And they felt a little like the plats in the video. For players like Sgt to succeed he should find a stack he likes to play with and work out strays for there team. And of course focus on mechanics as well. Most plat players are either high mechanics/low communication. Or high coordination adverage skill. I think sgt and others should go for the latter. Because mechanics can always be improved. And a good strat can hard counter the other type of player a lot of the time.
