Mystic Koi is where I purchase all my equipment and I'll have to say, I've watched other videos explaining how to clean the EZ pod but no one does it as well as this video. It's very easy to follow your directions. Thank you

Thanks for posting! It seems that I was not shown the correct way to clean my pond filter. I have encountered another problem. Water does not seem to flow very quickly into the filter, it seems to have slowed down a lot. The pound is about 6ft deep and the water seems clear apart from some sting weed on the side. How can I pinpoint where the blockage may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Really useful video thanks.
Is the back wash line connected to an air pump?
Is that only used for cleaning?

After cleaning how much water would you say you will take from the pond to refill? As this will need to replaced right ?

Yes indeed the white tube on top is connected to an air pump, I have an AP75 by evolution aqua running that EazyPod.
In normal every day use the air pump is used to add extra aeration to the pond, and it is connected to the EazyPod via a Y connector.

What size pond can the easy pod handle.? I'm not over stocked in my pond. It's 2000 gallon ( uk ) as I was on about buying the nexus 210 ? & adding maybe 3/ to 4 koi . Which would total 12 koi ? Will I be ok ? My depth is 4feet every where

Hi, I have an Eazypod but my K1 media has never agitated like that since i've had it (1 year) did you use all the K1 media supplied ?
    Thanks

Andy Sheppard I have the easy pod too (take a look at my video) , yes you use all the k1 supplied, but when you clean it, it won't agitate like he shows, his pod looks really clean, you have to give it time for the air to do its work, it all depends on how often you clean it, to how quick it agitates, in summer I do mine once a week and winter once every 2-3 weeks depending on weather. Hope that helps but do please take a look at my pond 👍

Hi Phil, yes it's all working ok now...took ages but i'm changing some of the water regularly and it's really clear, not over stocked.
They just to grow more...my sturgeon nearly double in size...must be 18inches from nose to tail end.

Andy Sheppard thats great to hear 👍you must be doing it right as sturgeon are very hard to keep in a enclosed pond due to needing good quality water and plenty of oxygen so i always say your fish will tell you if they are happy or not 👍
