Fall is right around the corner! Which means it is time to start planning to either plant new grass seed or overseed an existing lawn. That also means you will need to plan on putting down a starter fertilizer. In this video, Paul will go over, chapter and verse, Greene County Fertilizer Companies liquid starter fertilizer, 9-0-1 GreeneStart!
9-0-1 GreeneStart™ is formulated to facilitate rapid seed
germination without risk of burning the seeds. It is the best
product available for both re-seeding and over-seeding all
    types of turfgrass.
9-0-1 will establish significant root mass and depth (drought
resistance). It will stimulate considerable soil activity which
    will substantially improve soil fertility.
9-0-1, as a component of a fertility program, will significantly increase root mass and depth (drought resistance). It will
stimulate considerable soil activity which will substantially
    improve soil fertility.

Thanks for showing the Compaction Cure results. This is very exciting to see! Looking forward to trying this next season. In addition to renovating our lawn, I’m also renovating our rose garden. One question about the GreenStart - do you have anyone that has tried GreenStart on roses? I’m doing a rip out this winter and will replant about 60 rose bushes next winter. In between I’ll be killing off a massive Bermuda grass infestation.

Would you recommend this product in that use case? If so can I spoke the tank with any other Next products if I'm using 1-1.5 gallons of water per 1000k sq ft? Thanks!

    What’s the difference between 16oz of 9-0-1 vice 8oz of 18-0-1?

    • @NExtDIYLawn
      @NExtDIYLawn  5 ปีที่แล้ว

The percentage of Nitrogen and Humic Acid being put down. 18-0-1 has 18% of N and 9-0-1 has 9% of N. On top of that, 18-0-1 has 5% humic acid whereas 9-0-1 has 8%. - Castleberry

Fluid ounces (fl oz) or weight ounces (oz) ?

    • @dvxAznxvb

George Popa fluid ounces, because all next products are fluid and as long as you shake well it will be consistent
If you go by weight you will have small differences because the composition of the fluid is different per fluid by specific gravity
Such as micro Green has more Mass than air8 because it actually has heavier micro nutrients/metals

Paul, an unrelated question - In one of your recent videoes you found out that your new house has an existing irrigation system. From the looks of your backyard, did the previous owners not put irrigation in the backyard? Some watering should help to soften that brick hard red Georgia clay. Fall is on the way so the real work can begin.

    • @dvxAznxvb

D Goode I say you can use throughout the germination process instead of just applying granular that might disturb the new seedlings
Spraying allows greater uptake but it will stain the foliar appearance and is great for smaller areas
