What size pot did you come up with

Great job , can we get the diagram for conection please ?!

It is connected to the DC output side of the rectifier. Hope this helps

I see you wired the choke to one side of the motor but can’t tell or see where the other line of the choke plugs into. Little clarification ????
    Thanks a lot!

Sorry I can't. I would look on ebay under choke coil and your horsepower.

Is thechoke in the hot line between the dc motor and the rectifier?

    • @Histandard2011

The choke is actually in the black/ground side of the motor line. It may work on the positive lead but mine was hooked up in the black, negative line.

Can we use these motors without the flywheel?

I removed a 500K and installed a 200K. Sorry to take so long to answer.

I removed my 500 K installed a 200 K still need it slower installed a 10 turn 2 K stays at 1 steady fast speed . If I hook it up to my bench top power supply I can get it to move real slow with 1 volt . Does any one know what size pot I need maybe a 100 K ?

When I turn on my machine it spins at full speed.
    The speed does not decrease.

A couple things you might check if you have a volt ohm meter. First thing, did you change out the existing potentiometer with one of a different value? If so you may have it hooked up wrong. If you did not change out the potentiometer then unhook the output wires from the solid state controller and set your volt meter to at least 300 volts AC. With the controller on put your meter leads across the output lugs on the controller. Now operate the potentiometer and see if the ac voltage changes. Let me know if this helps or not.

I've been having the same problem twice... I changed it for this a DC speed controller
      www.amazon.com/dp/B08DHY3WQ6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_J2J8EGWW1GBCMZ088M7G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It works well now but the 2.5 HP motor got weak and it stops at any resistance to the disc...any other advice?

I’m doing something wrong. The DC output is not changing on my multiple r.

I can't for the life of me get my SCR motor controller to work. I have the bridge rectifier hooked up and the correct potentiometer but it just trips my panel. The M60 motor controller board runs it but it's all over the place.

Hi I have a 1.25 HP, 180 volt at 5 amp. I have a 4 KW ac speed controller and a KCP 5010 bridge rectifier like your unit. The motor runs but turns off as my speed sensor error comes on. If I measure resistance of speed sensor? Can I eliminate the problem? Or stick to 4000 watt AC controller with bridge rectifier? Any reply appreciated. Cheers from Australia 🙂

I have to make a few assumptions. First by the specs of your motor I would guess it is a permanent magnet motor and in Australia you are running 220/240 volts ac. Also are you trying to run a DC motor that came out of a tread mill or a real, heavy duty motor with a regular mounting base? Is your speed controller a $15-$20 type off of ebay or an expensive type with lots of internal adjustments?

Sorry to pick up such an old video, but is thhe choke wired in parallel with the motor coming out of rectifier?

Is there any way to control or to put the maximum speed the motor is allowed to turn?
    How we do that?
Is just by putting a resistor as current limiter is enough?
    Cheers from Indonesia.

    • @Histandard2011
      @Histandard2011  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, you could use the variable resistance potentiometer and adjust to your desired speed then just use an on off switch to turn in on and off. Or use the pot to get the speed you want, carefully remove the pot, check what resistance you have and then replace the pot with a fixed resistance resistor.
      Hope this helps

@@Histandard2011 thank you very much for your quick response. I thought that it would be answered next month or even longer. Cheers from Indonesia Chief, have nice day for you.
