Hey guys, couple updates- I forgot to record the graphs after updating FW, but they were largely similar to the previous FW. I also was not able to get an exact translation of the firmware notes. From what I can tell, the FW assist is now set to 0 by default and requires 5 clicks to change percentages. Additionally, the wheel has an increased max phase amp limit, and they lowered the auto power off from 60 minutes to 15 minutes idle time.
Invaluable content. The Leaperkim community, retailers and manufacturers owe you a subscription if they know how much this boosts LK credibility and marketability. I’m definitely going to get a Sherman L in about 2 years from now but if I did purchase new v1 wheels, this appears to be worthwhile for retailers to not hesitate to order tranches in the hundreds of units… which other companies have tried to impose on retailers with very negative ramifications on cash flow and profitability. This raises the bar towards the the goal of a wheel worthy of a lifetime of service, and the SL is appears to be worthy of at least a 10 year median lifetime this far. ❤ 10% there and 90% to improve but still an order of magnitude more useful that most prior attempts at substantive quality improvements. Good times!
Just downloaded the update on my L. I ran with no assist yesterday and it’s definitely hard to get the wheel moving. Going to try 15% later today. Thanks for filming this update, gives me a little more faith in the firmware
I haven't updated my Lynx firmware since this issue came to light and it's at 50% assist working just fine. I'm still trying to justify getting a Sherman L when what I already have does what I need it to. Only benefit for me wouldn't be more range and a knobby on the Lynx & street tire on a Sherman.
"Hi Dean! I saw your video and i see your 3D-printed seat for your wheel, and I was really impressed! Could you share where you found the file to print the seat? If possible, I’d also appreciate your help with downloading it. Thanks for your work and for sharing your projects
@@Audiboxx I was thinking about putting the shinko 241 on there, but it is better as a tubes tire so I would need to replace the valve stem to install it which I have not yet
Why haven't you checked assist on 100% level man? Its blasts with this setting! I ride like this on my Lynx with 11 firmware and im very happy with it. Plus I have -2 pedal angle and 35% pedal hardness . It's a real rocket. I don't need sluggish shit. And I suppose Sherman L even more slow and heavy. You definitely need to try this setup
@@PEVPOV you probably used to hard pedals and pushed it too hard. I've never cut out Lynx with my setup, and literally fly through my city. Almost 30 traffic lights, many crossroads every day. 100% assist gives you crazy acceleration and stop speed. You much more easily and longer can maintain high speed without any foot fatigue
@@Pogodindenis does your headlight Sway so easily? I love the assist but my headlight always faces the ground, then blinds others when I brake and lean back
@@PEVPOV Any assist will cause this to happen. Brake assist and acceleration assist allows the wheel to lean forward for acc and back for braking which will cause dip/rising headlight. Low pedal hardness will do this as well but likely for less duration.

I
got one for the LYNX also
Do you find the Sherman L wants to pull to the left?
