The first time i heard this i went out drinking with a new girl at work, she offered me ecstasy tablets and we ended up in her house she told me to close my eyes and massaged me with this on. When the music hit its stride, i felt like an explosion of goose bumps.... that was nearly 20 years ago. I still get those goose bumps and that memory every single time. What a fantastic song, life changing.
Moya is one of those pieces of music which gives you that "I remember the first time I heard this song" feeling. The first time I heard this, it just blew me away.
I knew I wasn’t the only who felt this way about Moya. This song sounds tragic because of recents events going on, but at the same time, it feels like it carries a little hope for a better future.
I've played along with their records so many times that I've had a few other musicians I've jammed with, tell me that I play guitar like I'm in an orchestra. That's because I learned to play from my favorite orchestra in the world_

Godspeed You!

Love this live! ... Saw them 2 months ago in Toronto. So good, I will see them again in the USA in November! ... To use the expression the Beat Poets used for jazz solos in the 60s, they've got "it" -- but to an exacting degree. Moya goes from despair to a hysterical, overjoyous hope. It is everything we have to bear every day -- in contrast to our purest and truest aspirations coming true ♡

I was always interested about the album cover for Slow Riot for new zero kanada but I never really paid close attention to the symbols on the cover, but today I decided to take the cover and put into google translate. My guess was that is was Hebrew, wich was correct. Now for the translation, it read תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ= “Tohu wa-bohu” wich translates to Chaos. But when i typed the hebrew into google i got a way more interesting result. Turns out תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ is a biblical phrase found in Genesis 1:2 and that it describes the condition of the Earth immediately before the creation of light in Genesis 1:3. This just adds way more darkness, chaos and depth to the experience of listening to this masterpiece.
This video is awesome, and I'm really glad it exists, but the cameraman bias towards rock instruments kind of irks me. I really want to see the traditional string section more. After all, those instruments are harder to learn and those who play them well almost always have formal training. It's weird how modern music always subordinates them,
