The first time i heard this i went out drinking with a new girl at work, she offered me ecstasy tablets and we ended up in her house she told me to close my eyes and massaged me with this on. When the music hit its stride, i felt like an explosion of goose bumps.... that was nearly 20 years ago. I still get those goose bumps and that memory every single time. What a fantastic song, life changing.
Moya is one of those pieces of music which gives you that "I remember the first time I heard this song" feeling. The first time I heard this, it just blew me away.
so true
i remember the first time i heard those drums come in after the guitar strumming
heavenly
This was the one when I first heard it made me think “yeah, now I get it.” Incredible.
Incredibly true
I had the privilege of seeing them play this song last week in Atlantic City! Super important and amazing band!
This is how you make a 12 minute song amazing without singing a single word.
Its not a song. its a piece of music.
its not a song its an experiance
Lyrics can only hurt music
Icari Isidolde
please go look up one of these albums spiderland, skeleton tree, or the glow pt 2 and tell me lyrics hurt music
Endserenading by Mineral. Especially the title track. Some of the best words ever written
One of the bands I hope to see before I die.
go, do whatever you can, literally no matter what. make sacrifices for it. it will change your life permanently
They're worth seeing and they don't gouge their audience on tickets. Even as old timers they kill it.
probably in my top 10 songs ever made. simply incredible
Same! whats your top 10?
Breathtaking.
I feel so much sadness for the world and current events, this somehow echos my sentiments but is uplifting at the same time.
I knew I wasn’t the only who felt this way about Moya. This song sounds tragic because of recents events going on, but at the same time, it feels like it carries a little hope for a better future.
i feel like all godspeed songs have a little hope sprinkled in
I've played along with their records so many times that I've had a few other musicians I've jammed with, tell me that I play guitar like I'm in an orchestra.
That's because I learned to play from my favorite orchestra in the world_
I still play along to this one and east hastings, loudly, on the top floor with the window open while the world burns 🥵
corona times
world burning now.
Do not despair, if they had already won, they wouldn´t put so much effort into deceiving us
Bro that emoji
Probably the best footage of them live on here....
Oh man i hope they play this when i see them next year
Nice profile picture
They pretty much play Moya at every show.
@@RB939393 heres hoping! i've never seen 'em live, don't really know what to expect tbh
@@samuelolivier3792 agreed
These guys make me proud to be from Montreal
I listened to this song for the first time in my life and i started crying
Vaybe
Just absolutely beautiful, the chaos is everywhere. I love this band so much
Thank you so much for sharing this. I can't even beggin to describe the love I feel for GY!BE. And being able to see them live with such a powerful performance (at least via youtube, I don't think they'll ever get to Argentina) makes me feel so good.
Same here, I am from India
@@shubhankarsharma8705 yeah, from India too, GY! BE doesn't have much of a fanbase here, so they probably won't tour here.
goosebumps every time

Wonderfully shot, really captures the feeling of being there.
Godspeed You!
The 8 richest people on earth!
It touches my soul...so beautiful ❤️
so beautiful
saw them in munich for the 3 time couple of days ago. they played 2 hours in a row. that was such an amazing concert!!! tremendous band!!!
Best band ever?

Türk görmek şaşırtıcı
neden dostum
They're alright.
Probably
Listened to this song a lot while reading "Demian" from Herman Hesse. The song resonates so much with the book, and i can't' explain why.
this is excellent work
THIS IS SO AMAZING!
The perfection....phenomenal band!!!
Just mind blowing. Perfect.
Just amazing in every sense of the word. And beyond. Cudos
BRAVO! BRILLIANT!
Man what is this beauty!
i listen to a lot of genres of music, and see this here... this is a masterpiece
Pure awesomeness! Wow what a show. Really lucky ones the people who went to that concert. Just... Mind-blowing song and band.
this might be the best song of all time.
More more more more, can't get enough of these guys
Love this live! ... Saw them 2 months ago in Toronto. So good, I will see them again in the USA in November! ... To use the expression the Beat Poets used for jazz solos in the 60s, they've got "it" -- but to an exacting degree. Moya goes from despair to a hysterical, overjoyous hope. It is everything we have to bear every day -- in contrast to our purest and truest aspirations coming true ♡
Definitely the best live version of it ive heard 🖤 my favourite track by them...haunting
Need to see them again live. When they came to town, to my utter shock, the violinist was sick. Still put on an amazing show but it felt lacking a bit, sonically. Do not miss this band live!
Did she play anyway, or did someone sub for her part?
they played without her
@@trowftdi'd be so disappointed to see gybe without Sophie man...
Wow it must not have been an easy decision to play without one member, even for a band of this size
The best piece they’ve ever written. Mind blowing every single time.
Beautiful
im beyond stoked to me seeing them next week at an old chapel in chicago!
+elix smit super glad that Ive end up at this concert tonight!!... amazing cosmic experience
Watch them live in millvale pa it was pure bliss
This is the Greatest video I have ever seen.

It was the greatest musical experience of my life
I'm gonna go see them in a few days.
A have a vivid memory of being in the middle of nowhere in Hungary looking over a flat plain on a sunny late afternoon listening to Raise Your Skinny Fists on head phones. Mind-blowing experience.
Jönnek àprilisban a Dürer Kertbe
@@Gaucho8510 élőben nem láttam őket. Egy nap szeretném. Magyarország egy csodálatos ország!
@@Alun49 ohh i have thought you are hungarian too, the last time they were here was maybe in 2009
@@Alun49 then promised than they would come under the next big world crisis lol
@@Gaucho8510 No, I'm British! I was travelling through Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine and Romania with my brother in 2001 (I think!) We spent a month doing it. My brother is an ecologist and was doing some work on developing National Parks in the Danube region. I got a free trip with him, which was really good! My brother lives in Romania now.
9:15. That's all I have to say.
Best live band on the planet

Sublime
whoaaaaaa!
Moya is the one, man.
Incredible, absolutely Incredible production.
This was filmed in color, but the colors soaked away into the music.
I waited too long to get tickets to the Seattle show at the end of this month and they sold out. I'm gonna die.
LOS AMO
Next month. Melbourne.
My 3rd time seeing a band I once thought I'd never have the privilege.
It's a art.

Seeing these at ArcTanGent in July, going to be epic!
Lucky bastard!!! Im si pisses I cant go, thus year looks amazing!!!

This is a meditation
Mi dear friend Claudio said that i had to listen to that and i am doing it
is this from the co-headline shows with Neurosis?
Yes
Par La Bande which one, the one which gy!be headlined ? or was 2nd I mean.
+Cédric Parages 2nd show on the Sunday night.
Yuani Fragata yehhhh i was at that show too, much dankness
A música dssses caras é simplesmente maravilhosa
As autoridades?:)))))))))))
Boa noite !
I was transcended.
Goosebumps. The Canadian ELO...kinda sorta...
🖤
Is there any chance you have the full video of the whole performance?
Sophie
i added this video to my playlist, of which i post every addition on my fb.. but somehow with this video the embeded player doesnt work if i post with playlist, for me it is the first video ever not to work in this manner, if i remove the playlist part of the url and share only this video, the embeded playr works fine... is this something on the uplaoders end? i'm confused... btw thx for the uplaod great video, great song, great performance, great band, timeless
Not sure what the problem would be. Works fine in a playlist for us.
playlist works great on youtube yeah, but sharing embeded playlist player on facebook wont work, i'm unfamilliar with uploading process, i thought maybe there was a setting or something, anyways hey thx for the reply
par la bande ...... merci ...... trop genial !!!!!!!!!! j adore
I feel like in the studio version the drums were such an important part of the buildup
Fuck, so good!

Sophie I love you 💕

I hope so
It actually is! Letting yourself just feel sad for a few minutes can be relaxing, if not theurapeltic (or however you spell that. Sorry, not a native speaker)
Okay gang, who will be there this March 2023? (Le Metropolis est maintenant MTelus)
x hail!
When are these guys come to Mexico City ?
lalitoelterrible En Septiembre de este año!
ya vinieron, no fui lpm :+
I'm really sorry for this stupid question, but does anyone know how the studioversion of this beautiful songs is called?
Moya, from "Slow Riot For New Zerø Kanada"
+Genghis Kon thanks a lot
Where do all the sounds come from? What instruments do they even use? Theremin?
Birdsa Rentreal guitars my man, guitars.
right now on tour they’re playing with 3 electric guitars, electric bass, violin, upright bass/electric bass, drum kit, percussion, and projectionist. at least one guitarist uses a bow for some tracks. think that’s the same lineup as in this video.
