There were a couple of really well placed trail magic locations along the CDT this year. They are all within 1/4 mile of a road generally. And yes, amazing people and I hope to be able to repay the favor someday. I've even picked up my first hitchhiker, I have a lot of hitches I need to pay back now :)
Watching these again. Very good. One idea that could be a good standalone video, and I know you touched on this some throughout the series, would be - how do you pick a good place to camp for the night? Like you have to be a certain distance away from the trail? How to avoid snakes, etc? Are there designated camping/no camping areas? Cheers and thanks.
Great suggestion! Generally looking for something flat, level and clear of things that will poke your air mattress. Funny thing is, every hiker has his/her own definition of flat and level!
Another awesome one, love the humor lol “look at all these hawks” “ I’m not a bird guy.... look at all those birds” lmao cracked me up thanks for sharing
I'm using the gimbal with the GoPro. I only used the Sony for still photos. The colors... GoPro videos used to be just "gopro color" with the settings in gopro studio, but since it's discontinued, I had to learn color correction in adobe premiere. I created two LUTs and layered them over the video to achieve the color
Appreciating the detail and showing water sources and such. The trail magic locations seem so remote on the CDT. Awesome people.

That windmill is the best water on the way.
For sure! White Mexican... I think I met you at the Y Motel in Chama
Great adventure!
Love it!
The gimbel: are you using the gopro or the sony? Gotta be the sony with a polarizer. Gorgeous colors. 👍🏻
