Finally someone has reacted to this song!!! Glad it was you guys.
Underneath the Sky which a b-side to Don't Look Back in Anger would be a great song to react to
I agree its fantastic
Again an underrated album!! Love this one when it came out b sides are great too!! The box set is brilliant aswell!! Top album
noel's influence on that one was from "baron saturday" from SF Sorrow by The Pretty Things
One of my favourites 👌🏼
one of their finest tunes
“On glue” means sniffing glue which was big in the 70’s/80’s with teens because you could get high without paying out loads of money.
Oasis Songs you can feel Sunshine rainy light and darkness black and white and between lot of colors.... silence whisper and crying
This album is very underrated
I agree. Although the last couple of tracks seem a bit lacklustre - like Noel already had his eyes on the exit door.. Still a great album though!
Carnation next plz, or maybe Go let it Out live at Wembley,
Another great Oasis tune. Yes, very late 60s beatles sounding esp with the drums. At first, I didn't recognize the singing. Not sure why but later kicked in. Here's one for Dave from Norwegian Prog Metal band, Rendezvous Point. They have a new album just out now but this older tune still packs the biggest punch in my opinion. It's the tune, Para. Really good drumming, intense vocals, and dynamics in this one th-cam.com/video/n8kBQLNxvVY/w-d-xo.html
You two should listen two It's Better People next. It was the B-side to Roll With It.
It's one of my all time favorite tracks, just love all those beautiful acoustic layers - and it was also my 'Comin Up' song back in the day!
Banging tuuuuuune
Probably my favorite off Dig out Your Soul.
Such a great album
Great tune man
Alot of the songs on this album use the d bass tuning which they never really did in any of their stuff previously...the album was hated on cos it was different but I loved it, have a smile to it or do a line it's amazing either way
Have a smoke to it I meant lol
D on the guitar for clarity
Bass string detuned to D for any musical Philistines out there
Sounds better than all the shit that was being released at the same time bar kasabian
"Monkey Man" is also a bit of a tribute to The Stone Roses' lead singer, Ian Brown. That was his nickname.
You might like The Stone Roses, come to think of it. They're more about where Oasis came from than The Beatles ever were, that's for sure (no matter what the clown brothers bang on about). Second Summer of Love, '89. Lots of fun and lots of...other things.
It’s probably more a nod to Bob Dylan and his Travelling Willburys song “Tweeter And The Monkey Man”. Noel is a massive Dylan fan
Ian Brown’s nickname was “King Monkey” after the 70’s/80’s Japanese tv show Monkey Magic
First in the bag - bag it up to the max! ✌️😎
My english is not the best, but every song talk to me..... i like this thinking reflection about life again again and again......
Your english is fine! I understood you perfectly =)
@@samechick thank you very much❤
Noel is on drums. Was recorded in Abbey Road too.
Need to listen to Falling Down from this album and The boy with the blues which is a download extra from this album, both excellent.
I might be missing something but I don't hear Baron Saturday at all. Can someone explain in the replies?
Hard to pinpoint exactly but the vibe is the same in my opinion. Around 3:40 you can hear the psychedelic quality that is pretty close to Baron Saturday.
Liams voice reminds me of the vocal on Baron also.
Saw oasis on this tour , I was hoping they would open with this but Noel said it just never sounded right live so they never played it,
They did open with Rock n Roll star instead tho so all was forgiven
It's a really good album!
First half of this album is “excellent” as Dave would say. Second half kind of falls off a bit. George Martin never worked with Oasis or Noel Gallagher. Dave Sardy seemed to get huge drum sounds that Oasis really never achieved outside of Definitely Maybe and Don’t Believe The Truth. He also produced Noel’s first album.
Noel robbing off Baron Saturday by The Pretty Things. Tune
"On glue" will be in reference to "Glue sniffing"... a horrendous habit, more prevalent in the 80s & 90s
Tried glue once never again ist fu**ing lethal
The song is about drugs 😂
Just dont listen to Get off your high horse lady on this album. Its truly Oasis worst song.
