Is there a way to add the explosion textures, materials, shaders etc to make it actually look like a explosion or how it looks when downloaded? To give off a realistic fire simulation or are all VDBs in daz stuck gray? It would be nice if daz had a simple VFX solution to import vdb VFX inside daz to use in scenes. And even better if creators on the daz store would start making some animated VFX we can readily use after downloading with full color textures and materials and shaders.
The current simple VDB shader does not support all properties that a VDB file can contain, such as temperature. This may change in the future though, but currently only the volume can be displayed like a smoke cloud. You can emulate effects like flames through clever uses of point lights though, take a look at out volumetrics playlist: th-cam.com/video/YklwvirfKWI/w-d-xo.html
awesome video as always :) I wanted to ask the software if you bu it you can create any effect or if there is a limit, something like rain or a blood slash effect? thanks again :)
Thanks for the great info in this video Jay! It would be nice if the Daz gallery allowed us to upload our animations there. 😃

You have to choose a VDB that has all those properties you described and then you will see fire or whatever that particular VDB has in it.
