As someone who enjoys cooking as a hobby and has made it part of my job, I have accumulated a lot of cookbooks. Cookbooks are great tools for individual recipes, but also for learning about different cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines. It has gotten to the point though where I have too many cookbooks I'm not using and need to do a declutter.
This process is a bit of a trip down memory lane since this is the first time I've ever done a cookbook declutter. In this collection we have the first cookbook I ever got, my most recent cookbook purchase, and everything in between.
The criteria I'm using to decide which cookbooks to keep and which to unhaul are:
    1. Do I cook from this cookbook often?
    2. Do I want to cook from this cookbook soon?
    3. Is this cookbook special to me/does this cookbook have sentimental value?
    4. Do I use this cookbook professionally?

This video was so entertaining! I can't believe it is an hour long, because it flew by, haha! I am going to declutter my cookbooks too, and this gave me inspiration on how to go about the reasoning of what to keep and what to donate. And also the courage that its okay to let go of cookbooks, even if you love food and cooking a lot :)

I don't know if you're still looking for an Indian-specific cookbook since this is an old video, but may I suggest Dishoom - Shamil Thakrar, Kavi Thakrar, and Naved Nasir? I just purchased it as a gift, and the directions for the recipes are well done, and the photography/cover is beautiful, too.

I pretty much agree with you cookbook choices. I would love to see a deeper dive into some of those cookbooks. Especially the more reference type books) I completely agree about Claire's book.

If you have a printer with a scanner you can take the book and copy/scan the recipe and print it off so you can still have those recipes but don't need the book

My dietitian recommended me to be on a mostly vegan/vegetarian diet preferably 100% vegan combined with intermittent fasting. She told me that if I have to eat meat to eat fish but to limit that to eat as much plants/vegetables and fruits i I can. Oncein a blue moon have preferably a fish if not chicken. 1200-1500 calories a day. What do you think of that recommendation.

You could probably find dieticians who would recommend quite different diets. Your diet is too low calorie for the long term. I don't see how fish is any healthier than chicken. It really depends on the source. Is this dietician a vegan or vegetarian? That would explain a lot. You should at least take B12 if you're not going to eat much of any animal products. You can't get B12 from plants.

I can't speak to your personal diet, but I can tell you what I think in general. Generally I don't recommend a diet that's any more restrictive than a person needs (medical conditions/allergies) or desires (religious or ethical reasons). I also don't generally recommend intermittent fasting or strict calorie counts of any kind.

Veganism is a death cult. If you value your health, do the opposite.

48 cookbooks are a little league sampling. Take a look at Nigella's collection, or Martha Stewart's collection. Geeez, I have over 1000 that are "till death do we part."

As long as you're not throwing your discards in the garbage. At least donate them to a hospital for patients to read.

All of the unhauled books are being given to friends, donated, etc. One of my goals with this project is to pass on the books that aren't working for me to someone who will actually use and enjoy them.

I never did like Julan Michaels, she was just mean. And realy looked down on those that were not as passionate about exercising and dieting like she is. Yes we all need to eat right and exercise but she was obsessed to the point she was mean to others. Then finding out what's going on behind the curtain of the show..I'm just not a fan.
