Sometimes musicians get caught in thinking they’re all alone in what we do-our successes, our struggles, our exhaustion, our joy, etc. I love that you shared your normal life; it’s encouraging!
always reliving my Music major life with your channel. Loved your reason for vlogging. I’m starting to realize how actually unique days in our life are, looking at it from a 3rd person perspective :) Always look forward to your videos. :)
Glad to see you’re picking up vlogging again. It’s always great to see these videos as I get prepared to head to music school. One thing I would love to see is your transition from on campus living to off campus. That process of managing student life with working/gigging
so glad you enjoyed!! and best wishes as you prepare to head to music school yourself :). thank you for the suggestion; I'd also love to make some videos about that transition!
im 2 months late but so love this! and the reason why u vlogged today is also something ive been thinking abt recently! in a year, ill prob be in a different mindset and wonder what 1yr ago melody was thinking lol
YAYYY HI! it's so weird how things change so quickly and we think every day is just the same! can't wait to see what Melody in one year will be doing :)
Hi from Costa Rica.one of uour vids impressed me of you so I m into the whole series of them.Currently 5 year violin study but I quit but keep going on.my own. From Costa Rica🇨🇷
You have such a new aura and added sophistication about you. Looking so confident as a result vs fresh freshman. Initially I tried making the quiet breakfast at the dining hall at Trinity College class of 1992 way back when. Then I took biochemistry and stayed up until 3am often. Your so much more intelligent miss ivy still down to earth though and your learning curve is not as steep as mine. Can I ask who the author of the music theory book is you use at Peabody? Thanks for sharing from the class to the dorm desk. A candid view of the full spectrum at Peabody that could appeal to the growth aspirations of any student.
Thank you so much!! Your encouraging words mean a lot to me! Unfortunately, in my theory class we do not use a textbook. We just analyze pieces and our professor goes over them in class. Does that answer your question, or did I misinterpret?
Great video, Sophie! Also, sorry I haven't commented in a long time! Btw, love your boyfriend's The Chosen shirt. I see he, too, is a man of culture! 😁 Have a good day/night, ~ Ana Edit: Also, I love your sign above your dorm doorway!
Your playing seems greeting improved from the video of you last year. Well done. Idk if I’ll watch anymore after the sign in your bedroom made my heart sink. :(
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words and support; they mean more to me than you know. I'm really sorry to hear that you were upset by that. The sign does not belong to me; it's my roommate's. However, if something on my channel is ever distressing to you, I will not be offended at all if you choose to leave. I wish you the best!
Excuse me can you give me some tips I want to study music performance but I'm worried I won't have enough experience I kind of started late I'm not an prodigy I don't know how to read ledger lines what do I need to do?? I graduate high school next year
hi! I remember your comment from last time, and my advice still stands :). do your best, and that's all we really can do sometimes. are you able to find a teacher who can help with more personal guidance, since I don't know the full extent of your situation? anyways, still wishing the best for you!
@@SophieCViolin Oh wait really?? I forgot that I had comment a long time ago I guess I'm still nervous a lot of people judge me because I want to study music actually after your comment I practiced a little harder it gave me motivation.
Thank you for your eloquent presentation, and for taking time out of your extremely busy schedule to make a blog for your fans.
thank you for watching!! :) means a lot to me!
