Lovely lovely video, what a session, stunning old tincas, and what looks like a beautiful venue, cant put my finger on where it is from the old portfolio of waters they had. Excellent stuff
Credit where its due Mark, you catch some seriously good fish, of all your target species. But more than that you back it up with solid info, tips and suggestions. Congratulations on the new pb.
nice to see you again mark great stuff smashing lake and those tench stunning 10 pound is a great fish mark i would be happy with that and two more as well ,real fishing without the garbage ,,well done mark until your next adventure by the water tight lines,,
Wow! What a catch ,congratulations On a p.b,beautiful fish from beautiful surroundings, i still think tench are one of our best looking fish. Keep up the good work mate .
Cracking Tench Mark,it just goes to show your baiting technique etc... is certainly drawing them in and your chosen hook bait is a definite winner 👍👍👍 It might be an idea to demonstrate how to air inject worms properly and warn people of the dangers of it all....one bit of carelessness could mean something deadly serious !!! Sorry.....I put this up before your last chit chat section....air injecting warning etc... 👍👍👍
A good rake is an indispensable piece of kit for the pernikitey tench presentation.. Awesome fish. Employ the net man maybe for the raking...biscuits and tea...
It certainly is the American express tool for tenching never leave home without it. That is not a bad suggestion in fact he has not accompanied me in ages! He does drink a lot of tea though, it is like taking a camel that loves drinking tea fishing lol.
Cheers Mark and yes to be fair i do mainly prefer my roach fishing when out on rivers trotting in winter usually but don't really lake fish for them and probably should on these lakes as i had some lovely fish over 1lb plus while tenching.
Honestly mark we'll all say it again pal you catch the!!! Most magnificent tench on TH-cam just outstanding look at the frame on them they're huge long reign king mark 😊👍
I like the wide gape super specialist hooks but couldn't get on with the standard ones. 3 amazing tench there I really must get out and do some tench fishing myself.
I can understand that, hooks are a confidence thing too and can vary a lot, the old drennan barbel hooks for me were a bit like that, i used to love them but had the odd one open up on me which kind of put me off back in the day.
I cannot remember when I started following your channel. However, May I congratulate your professional, relaxed and consistently pleasant presentation. Your eye for framing these videos really does bring out the beauty and wonder of your surroundings. Bravo I wish you every success with your fishing and TH-cam channel. Kindest regards from one fisherman to another. France.
Thank you ever so much for the very kind words Pascal, that means a lot, and also tells me that the videos are resonating with yourself and others which is important to me too.
Cheers Jonathan, roach wise i suppose you could say so, but the roach were averaging a pound and larger at times, i just didnt include them on the video as i was on tench tackle.
Great atmospheric video! Your rig approach seems to be working really well, as opposed to mine. 😅 Therefore, I have two quick questions about this topic. In a video published a while ago, I believe I could see that you were using a running lead system? Am I wrong of have you ever used a running lead? By air rejected worms, do you mean worms literally filled with air or worms lifted up by using something like foam? Cheers, Daniel
Thanks for the questions and for watching Daniel. I do indeed mainly use running rigs for the majority of my ledgering. The worms and maggots are literally injected with air using syringes. 0.03mm insulin syringes or similar which you can purchase online. Just be careful when using them. Kind regards Mark 👍
@@markerd5378 Alright! Thanks for the answer! I have previously tried a similar approach, using a brunch of worms on a hair. However, the small fish, such as roach, would not let the worms stay on the hair for long. The small fish was always bothering me and I could not continue fishing like that. - Have you experienced anything like that while using a worm rig? Is there anything I can do? - In addition, do you have any general advice on late season tench fishing? Where do you think the tench can be caught in October, when the lily pads are nearly gone and the reed's pale? Cheers, Daniel
pmsl Matt hahahaha I have used a fair bit but yeh i would say the amount of mollasses you kindly gave me has been immense mate. had a superb bit of tenching. You are a gent!
You're not really at much risk by injecting air into yourself unless you somehow hit a major vein or artery. If it's just in the meat then you've only got the risk of infection to worry about (clean/disinfect asap, keep an eye on it for a week or so to make sure it hasn't gone nasty). Congrats on your PB though, hell of a fish and in lovely condition as well.
Cheers mate and yes i know but i do kind of have to put a disclaimer and a little warning as i have been moaned at in the past when mentioning about air injecting , but you're right it would take hitting a major vein or artery in reality.
Another great video Mark. At around 18mins... "A touch of the F35"? Alternatively. maybe the alliterative "Tornado Tench"?
Your videos are the best on TH-cam Mark, no bullshit, just proper fishing videos.
Hah thank you ever so much and as it should be, raw and passionate!

Currently lying in my room listening to the rain and watching a mark erdwin video🤤🤤🤤
haha, what is funny is that rain seemed to skip my area and came down lightly but in Reading itself it really did come down!
it was decently heavy here in burghfield
