You mention not knowing how to store different colours together, what i personally do is after cleaning and letting it hang to dry, i put a teaspoon of talcum powder, and spread it across until the entire surface is a lot greyer, then store it in a large ziploc/ sandwhich plastic bag The talc protects and prevents the latex from touching and sticking to itself when in storage
I would do this with latex that is all the same color but the orange latex should not touch the white one for prolonged periods of time as it would stain it, even with talcum powder. That has already happened to some of my scrap pieces that have been in a same bag. My solution is to hang the bodysuit upside down from a hanger to prevent the collar from resting on the white part.
I concur with comments here that latex gloves would have completed the outfit - However you still did an amazing job. Thank you so much for the upload. Looking forward to the next one.
Really cool! I agree the skirt latex maybe could have been thicker. I wonder if using the overlapping ruffle method could work. The hip roll and shoulder rolls were really cute! great job!
🙆🏽♂️ I appreciate you giving us a behind-the-scenes look at just how hard it is to create one of these cosplay creations. There is definitely a lot of sausage making here. Final product is pretty impressive.
@@lacrymastory We have heard of Bestine, but never tried it. My wife has been making latex clothing for well over 20 years. All she has ever used to thin her Bostik adhesive and to pre clean the latex before gluing is Automotive preprep panel wipe. It come by the gallon and it around £8 a gallon. Lasts for ages. Evaporates quickly and has no effect on the glue or latex. If you want to split seams just drip a few drops on the seam and it just melts the adhesive. Carefully pull apart and clean the glue off the seam and reglue.
@@lacrymastory You can cut the foam dowels at an angle to give them a taper at both ends, then it should make a gradual transition down to the armpits!
For the sleeves, some kind of soft foam could work better if it was cut to a specific shape. Silicone would probably be too hard for the sleeves and maybe a bit too heavy for the hip roll but could work better for something else!
@lacrymastory Could you do a video explaining how you go from your measurements to having a pattern, that would be a really interesting video to see the process. I think that's a great idea to share the patterns.
@thearbiter3 Check out my “How to make a latex pencil skirt” video! In the beginning I’m talking about what measurements to take and how to use those to draw a basic skirt pattern. It’s very basic but should be a good starting point!
Good job like to see more latex. If you then the glue more and after putting on the latex let it dry more. Some tines I would let it dry for an hour or more, that would give you a lot neater seem. I always used a brush to put my glue on. th-cam.com/video/pMMOeQpj2ns/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the advice! I bought a new glue and have been paying more attention to my technique since. Hopefully that improvement will show in my next video!
I am super impressed. Having made a few things myself you are your own worst critic. Glad I found your channel!!
Beautiful!!!!!
I admire the bodysuit 😍❤️
Looks great! 🤩 It's so satisfying to watch latex outfits being made
So that's what you used the orange for!
much makeup is so attractive and glam
Satin gloves are nice too

Uniqdsn has white gloves and I highly recommend their shop.
Thank you so much!

Very cool video! I'd love to start crafting with latex one day.
Amazing work! Though I would have liked to see it with white latex gloves instead of satin ones.
Amazing! Great work and I understand experimenting
It end up perfect

U ROCK! Nice work!
HAHA! WELL DONE!!! I miss the original show! Minako-Chan!
I like your honest critique of you own work and you do a great job even with little mistakes! Can I ask what you use to undo seams?
Thank you! Recently I have been using Bestine rubber cement solvent/thinner.

This outfit would kill it at comic con.... (and be so sweaty... mmm.... XD)
Maybe an EVA foam dowel to go in the seam rolls?
Could work! For the sleeves they would need to be taped down before they reach the armpits though, otherwise it would be even more uncomfortable 😅

Do you recommend using the polyfill method over something like a foam or silicone rod?

Great job, where do you get your patterns from?
Thank you! I draw them myself from my measurements but I’m currently working on digitizing some of my basic patterns so I can share them!

I was sure that remaining orange was for Asuka 😅
I will return to Evangelion once I have refined my skills so I can do Asuka justice!
