Did you have any issues with the battery fitting in that chassis? Mine seems to break contact with the positive tab on a clash or stab. I’ve ordered some new battery tabs. Hopefully that fixes it, but I’m curious if anyone else had the issue with that chassis.
I must admit I didn't have that issue - the long spring seemed to hold everything securely. Have you checked for any little burrs or other little tags on the chassis from the 3d printing process that might be stopping the battery pressing hard against the contacts?
@@SaberSense Yeah I checked for that and didn't see anything in the way. I ended up ordering a new set of contacts and the spring on the new one was longer and much more rigid. That fixed that issue, but I'm still having an issue with shorting. Everything works fine until I slide the chamber into place. The pixel connector disconnects. I've added kapton tape where I thought it might be needed, but nothing.
Hey, do you still do installs like these? I just bought the parts for one myself and didn’t realize it’s a complete scratch install and I can’t seem to cancel the purchase and don’t know if I’ll have the skills and equipment to do it myself yet
Yes, I still do these installs. Postage might be expensive if you're not in the UK, but feel free to drop me a message through my website if you want to go through the details. sabersense.square.site/contact-us
