    Do you know how this is done in Photoshop? I have my channels setup exactly yet, I get an odd result.--Nevermind, I just learned that if I save the file as a TIF instead of exporting as a png, it works perfectly. Thank you as always, anyway for producing some of the only and best videos on SDK out there.

    Thank you for this tutorial. The only one to explain clearly how to compose an image using channels in gimp.

    Thank you Federico , for another great video on PBR textures! My next challenge is to use PBR's for my add-ons!

    Hi, all your tutorials are very good. I have learned a lot thanks to you. Will you make a guide on how to create a model, e.g. a house with a day and night view? I would like to make the light in the windows and lamps in the yard turn on at certain times

    What channel does the AO go into ? [ if you download a PBR texture which has AO ? ]

    hi! I tried creating a scenery with some custom materials, it worked completely fine for me, but when i published it to public, many people complained about white spots where my custom materials should be. Do you know the reason? Maybe the fact I renamed my scenery's folder?

    This was a great help.. Would you have anything on creating parallex windows?

      Thanks @Martin Clarke!
      Parallax Is still out of my understanding, i have tried with Blender without much success, let's hope in the official plug-in release and Hope It Will come with all the samples that we have for 3ds right now

    This is something I want to learn, I don't have any idea about it, it is late tonight, will take a look tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your works. BTW, I sent you an email a couple of days...did you see it?

    In the software program "Materialize" if you assign the channels and "save property map" do you know if it will create the composite map?

    • @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS
      @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can create the COMP (occlusion/roughness and metalness) but pretty sure it will struggle to create the ground PBR
      Strongly suggest to use a proper image editor (gimp or Photoshop). Materialize can be handy, but it doesn't create proper material, it can only try to "guess"

    What if our material is metal? From which texture we copy to our decomposed red layer?

    • @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS
      @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Metal or plastic the logic is the same,
      Metal in red channel, x-normal in the green, roughness in the blue one, z-normal in the alpha
      A metal ground material will likely be more white for the red channel and more black for the blue channel (being the metal be smooth)
      Your final comp will be orange (smooth metal) to purple (rough metal)

    Hey Mamu, this is such a great help thank you. Do you know how to remove vehicles from an airport? I added a polygon to remove trees etc but the vehicles will not move.

    Hmm. Cerating these comp textures for every texture in my scenery with GIMP or Photoshop is actually a real pain in the pelvis. Is there any converter software out there?

    • @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS
      @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This method Is used only for pbr GROUND materials!
      For Scenery object Is faster 😉
      Take a look at the last 4 minutes of this:
      th-cam.com/video/2xd8KMlkXNA/w-d-xo.html
      Some people use a software called Materialize to create Comp texture

    ciao federico! il tuo tutorial riguardo la creazione della cartella materials lib è moplto interessantre! ho segioto passo passo quanto hai descritto ma dopo aver inserito leimmagini sullo scenario in layout principale rimane inalterato! nel senso che non legge la cartella.. come posso risolvere il problema?

    • @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS
      @MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ciao, l'unica cosa che mi viene in mente è che il formato delle immagini non sia compatibile
      Anche se non capisco bene a cosa ti riferisca con "inserire le immagini nello scenario" e layout principale
      Se ti riesce di unirti al mio discord magari possiamo analizzare meglio la situazione!
