He was going to try to say that they saw athletic ability and leadership in the face of adversity in that 1-4 comeback to the playoffs. That may be true, but only because Skip wanted Tim the MAN to do well he glossed over he fact that Tim the PLAYER was in way over his head. Shannon was just telling the truth. It has no comparison. Almost all of these guys want to face adversity and win in ANY sport, Tebow just happened to play the most popular position in all of sports. It was the only legacy he had

I'm a diehard broncos fan, spent the entire season watching miracle win after miracle win with Tebow and i supported him, even though it was obvious to me he'd never become an elite quarterback. Their ratings have risen dramatically. During that time-slot ESPN use to have 23x more viewers than FS1. Now it's only 3x more. THAT IS AMAZING.
The lead in to Colin Cowheard's show is 60% greater than what it was which exactly what you want from a flagship show.
Other numbers:
+358% gain in black viewers over the same time slot in 2015
+733% gain in 18-49 demographic.

PillowTalk9 sounds legit to me but I feel that Undisputed starting 30min before First Take was a great strategy by FS1 to pad that stat. They usually have a topic that is interesting enough to stay on the channel and miss the start First Take. I find myself not even turning to First Take our watching it's recap. So I'm sure that has some effect. Coward's show has a bit more pep to it then Mike and Mike and his antagonist ways like Skip is entertaining

Their not in the same category. Michael made the decision to play baseball because of his late father who passed away. Jordan's father envisioned him as a baseball player. That's why Michael played baseball. It probably wasn't in his blood but I think he played baseball to honor his father. Then when the time was right he went back to the NBA and the rest is history.
