I met Gerard in 2003 at Hell Fest in NY standing near the stage waiting to watch a little known band called Murder by Death and we chatted for a bit and he told me to watch the band and that they were among the best bands in the 3 day hardcore/punk/indie festival and he was right! I was so grateful that he introduced me to those guys! Super nice dude
Watching this now after Doug’s death is really heartbreaking. It sounds like he and Gerard had a really beautiful creative friendship. I hope that after ending the tour and returning home, Gerard is able to step back into that studio and keep writing music, but unfortunately it’ll be hard for him.
First concert I ever went to was MCR Black Parade tour in Chicago Illinois, i was 13 years old. I'll never forget that concert or what this band meant to me. Long Live the Black Parade!

I haven’t really sat down and watched an entire interview with Gee in so long. It’s sweet to see him doing so well. I’m genuinely happy for him, he worked so hard, he’s been through sooooo much and I’ll always be proud of him. He deserves everything great and positive.
