By far the greatest concert I've ever had the pleasure of being at. Michael Schenker was on point that night, like never before. The best lead guitarist still alive hands down. 👍👍
@@juliobonnemaison9179 Back in 1980-1981 With a reel to reel recorder I was studying this solo working it out note for note slowed down to half speed with all his others. Michael taught me SO MUCH God love him.
Schenker and Mogg were devastating but had great other band members as well. The music of UFO illuminated the 70s and is the pinnicle of what became unidentifiable. The purity is astounding.
Saw them in Sheffield in June '78, a few months before this. For the solo, Mogg went off stage and Schenker moved front and centre. He took his Flying V off, stood it upright on the stage, knelt down behind it and played the whole of the solo like that!
Nearly EVERY major rock guitar hero lists Michael Schenker as one of their influences. Personally, he is my all-time favorite. Never saw UFO. But, I haven’t missed one local MSG gig. Can’t believe he still tours.
This is a band at their very best, every member is at the top their game, no bells or whistles this is pure pure perfection. I have been lucky enough to UFO lots of times in this great era, they always were the best live act around.
The most REAL self realized hard song ever...and the B E S T...Schenker was a real genius at that moment i have never heard anything like that....and never will ever i guess...oh how many heavy metal and hard rock bands from then on based entire discographies on this guys genius...him and blackmore of course...god what a band
One of the greatest live albums ever!!! "Song Remains the Same." "Live at Leeds." "Double Live Gonzo." "All the World's a Stage." "Unleashed in the East." "Live at Budakon."
saw them in San Diego, 1979 or so, Pat Travers, Cheap Trick, UFO, and Blue Oyster Cult, UFO was amazing, still in the top 5 shows ever and I've been to a lot of concerts in my 60 yrs...
Well Mr Schenker, any mistakes there may be in this, 'tour de force', are not enough to prevent it becoming one of the best live rock guitar solos ever recorded…maybe the best!
one of the coolest guitar solos ever captured. During a time when everyone was doing pentatonic " formula" riffs, Michael Schenker comes around and plays melodic, soulful, and just plain old kick ass solos.
Never listened to them before...pretty catchy...lead guitarist sounds like he is working hard not to let loose and go MANIC...lead singer REMINDS me of early Robert Plant voicewise
Adrian Smith was a big fan of Schenker and potentially the closest we ever got to another Michael Schenker. Though Smith can't touch Schenker in my opinion. The opening riff from the Maiden song Back In The Village takes inspiration from the Michael Schenker Group song Captain Nemo.

List is near perfect, all you need to do is replace the terrible Nugent with ACϟDC's If You Want Blood, You've Got It.
@@iltonwhite Add AC/DC and keep Uncle Ted
Add Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy, Live After Death by Iron Maiden, and Tokyo Tapes by Scorpions.
@@iltonwhite I agree about DC but Nugent's Gonzo is a classic.

I was there too!!!!!! What a great day!!!!!!
Saw that in a LA, at either Long Beach, the Forum or Sports Arena. Can't remember. But couldnt take my eyes off MS in black leather jumpsuit.
You can't have more rock than that!
That's cool how you put an image of the drummer at his little break near the end of the solo
I have to say Schenker is the man now. No disrespect for the deceased but as far as being alive. Schenker is the Man now.
Well Mr Schenker, any mistakes there may be in this, 'tour de force', are not enough to prevent it becoming one of the best live rock guitar solos ever recorded…maybe the best!
Schenker increíble
Been a fan since the mid seventies, and listen to this all the time. Don’t forget:Schenler was 23 when this was recorded.

I remember having this on cassette. It's as badass now as it was back then.

To those that have never heard this, I don’t think you can possibly explain it. You just have to hear it!
Where do we go from here?🤘🇺🇸

Iron Maiden gott most of their riffs from this album.

I think they had a big influence on Queen's first Album
Queens first album came out in 1973. UFO's first album with Schenker came out in 1974
Queen couldn't carry UFO's water
