You would think a fur con could be held in London with it being so large, and I hope one is held there in the future! I also agree that it’s much more political here in the US than in the UK, however (at least in the furry community here), we try to look past our political biases and focus on what makes the fandom great: Friendship, inclusiveness, and of course the artwork! Thanks again for the video, and I think you should do more of these videos from a Brit’s point of view, because I think all of us Yanks learned a lot here!

Bruzo Dragonius Australia cons and fur numbers are growing. Australia also has one of the biggest fur meets. Your starting to get great makers, Lazy Luke and Blue Sky. Australia also has some big fur names, Pocari Roo, Faux Veritas, and Awesome Rusty Rex just to name a few.
William Lemon it’s Lazy Lupe and I said about the notable furries. We have 2 big meets. 1 weekly one in Brisbane called South Bank Fur Meet and FurJam in Sydney. Our other makers we have are SkyHigh Studios, and Skunky Designs. Also TMC is more notable here as well.

I don't want to sound like a whiny child, but at least all of these countries have a con. in my example, I live in the balkan, and the nearest "normal sized" (I'm talking about planned conventions, with a larger number of attendants) is in Germany. now I'm aware that there might not be a big population of furries in Balkan, but I believe we deserve at least something? #Balkanfursmattertoo
PastelAlien Yup, I feel the same. In Argentina we have no cons at all, we have to travel all the way to São Paulo, Brazil which is like 3000km away from here to go to the only convention in the whole continent and it barely has 300 attendees per year :c
Well, it’s still members of the furry community who creates the con. In Denmark for example, we have a group of furries who decided to rent a lil cabin and arrange the con. So, maybe try and see what YOU can do to create a small local con? Else you should stop whining. Sorry, hopefully I don’t come off as rude as that’s not what I meant! ^^;
LittleLightFromDark Actually we run small furmeets. I probably forgot saying that the amount of furries here is not big enough to run a convention. There are barely 30 furries here in the second largest city
Cukin the Dutch Angel Dragon Well, there aren’t that many furries in Denmark either, plus our only con we only have 50-60 people join in. So you don’t need to be 100 furs in one place to have a good con. The smaller cons can still be a blast! But ofc. furmeets can be a lot of fun as well, and is the second best if you ask me.

I feel ya on this Artemis. I'm a Canadian fur but we only really have 2 real cons. One in Toronto and the other is in Victoria. The rest are just glorified meets and if you want an American made suit we have a Customs fee as well and usually ends up with you paying for the suit twice and then pay them to rebox it.

Murica FTW. I was in the UK visiting some furry friends a couple years ago. We spent most of the time looking at Roman forts. Roman. Forts. I was like, "Is this what youz do for fun?" Then I learned that youz call bacon ham. Or was it ham as bacon. Regardless, it was offensive that youz don't put maple syrup on your pancakes. Barbaric.
Ham.. bacon.. it's all good frazzled to a crisp. I do admit maple syrup is beautiful (on ambiguous pork slices) but the real stuff is expensive here so you end up with corn syrup with weasel extract or some such nonsense. I'm sorry our Roman forts were a bit dull.
I wonder on your opinion of other countries furry influence. There seems to be a steady increase of popularity of the culture in Japan and down here in Australia I think we might almost outnumber the amount on conventions in UK. Not to mention the size of the European furry culture, though I know very little about that. Truthfully I find the Japanese furrys to be the most interesting. Their suits in particular are rather unique in design.
Might be being a bit funny about it & not sure if you were serious about it, JFTW isn’t a caravan holiday. It’s in a hotel like CFz & Scotiacon with no caravans to be seen. :p Where as Furcation (who want to give something different to a con) is held in a holiday park. Done both & can confirm different kind of events with a different environment & feel. 👍🏻

Here in Australia we have the same issue bc we only have 1 or 2 furry conventions that I know of, but the whole "everyone thinks Furries r weirdos" isn't as bad here since lots of large companies and even small hometown business have an animal as their mascot and will by suits to advertise their company and we Aussies love our wildlife so we don't really care and lots of people actually respect the passion that furries show towards animals (but weird shit like yiff is just wrong).
