Sweet! I only just installed a McWill drop in replacement screen for my GBC about a week ago. And what a great little mod it is too! I also bought a 5v to 3v voltage regulator, boxed it and put it in line with a USB lead and power plug, so no batteries needed, just plug into a USB source. If I want to be mobile, I can still use the batteries as normal 😁 Nice work 👍 Unfortunate you got duped with the replacement buttons and switch 😞
Awesome. I'm still waiting for my LCD kit to come in with my new shell. But I bought mine from retromodding. I want to do a battery mod on mine too but not sure which ones to get honestly. But I was wondering with the battery mod if there was a way to use the LED light indicator for charging as the light for the power under the screen display? I would love it to show it charging and then show differn't colors depending on how charged the battery is. Anyways. Thanks for the awesome video. I would love to make my own videos but I don't have a proper cam.
@@rainbowrepair5692 yes I know i'll have to trim. My problema is finding a 2000mah battery in my country. Get it from China is not an option here, we cant use postal service for battery's. How much play time you have with PAM + backlight with a 1200mah, also do you run a flashcart?

@@rainbowrepair5692 understandable. I installed a similar screen on my gbc and while cleaning something with alcohol, i got some inside the screen. Dried up overtime but it's not the same. Might grab one of these. Keep up the good work!
Because i decide i wanted to rear mount my pam amp. Instead of the front since i did this when gbcbacklit was still new and wasnt sure if id even have room up front. I used double sided tape for the pam amp

Messing about with the plastic and the lack of loud music or other voices is relaxing. I have a few other Videos that have ASMR benefits, ranging from others fixing GameBoys to Chiropractors cracking bones.

The charge board im using when you plug into it itll be read during charge and go green once full.
But no indicator like a how your phone shows it.

Hi! What battery are you using? im have problems finding battery in my country, they are all too big for the gbc
Vivitar camera battery. 3.7v 1200maH youll need to do some trimming to fit it

why dont you relocate the micro usb port in another part of the shell and connect it with + and - INPUT?
I wanted my personal gbc to appear as a "sleeper".

why you take off the metal backplate in cart slot? do you use kapton before sit the PAM chip in that place?
