I would send our reports/estimates from water restoration company to insurance via email and copy email the customer, our estimator and my boss. With phots etc. Insurance didn't have the opportunity to change it without full awareness of all parties. The more I hear about issues with claims, the more I like how my company handled the claims internally. We tried really hard to close the kind of loopholes that create the opportunity for this kind of thing. I think all adjusters, public and independent should copy the customer on communications with insurance. If all parties KNOW that all parties are "in on the conversation" it's much harder to take advantage of any party. Just my personal opinion.
Try videotaping your claim. Initial inspection when you sign it, video the insurance carrier inspection and video the phone calls and the settling of the claim including offers and final agreement ect.... and then place it on youtube for us to see. That would be pretty neat to see the entire process, listening to the conversations and phone calls ect....
Will the Judicial Branch take this seriously enough to levy Charges against the Bad Actors misrepresenting the legitimately approved claims benefits due to distraught Policy Holders? It all tests on Enforcement of Criminal Actions.

I agree, it’s good to have all eyes on the claim correspondence.

That is definitely the million dollar question. It definitely feels sometimes like nothing ever really happens. But we have to keep trying ✊
Can you refer me to a "Doug Quinn" in Washington state?
Oh wow, I have no idea. There can only be one Doug Quinn! 😆
