I just think it’s useless because you see it in the thumbnail and it doesn’t really point anything out that you already can’t see! Let me know what you think about it, would be glad to hear the opposite of my opinion!
I would say that it's mostly redundant but it serves some purpose, namely, in marketing the video as self-aware content. What I mean is, the creator knows that other people have certain attitudes regarding furries and so wants to communicate very implicitly that the video is not just for furries, but maybe also people who are interested in other sources of ASMR, such as from furries. If it was just called ASMR, I'd bet that only other furries and/or those already subscribed would see the content as something interesting / worth clicking on. But calling it "furry" ASMR gives it a little extra intrigue.
