In today's video we've headed a bit more south then usual. Albania the hidden Mediterranean gem with almost no spearfishing regulations where accommodation is cheap. It's a GO TO destination for foreign spearos who want to taste Mediterranean spearfishing without breaking the bank. Since the sea is still in winter mode our main goals were groupers, octopus and lobsters. There were no groupers but the catch was amazing for this time of the year.

That's nice to hear man! I'm not even 100% sure but the guy with the boat took us to the little islands around Ksamil if i remember correctly. If you want to find anything you'll have to dive like at least 15m deep and dig around with the torch. You can try diving between the little islands to the greater depths if you can and look for rocks, cracks etc...

You won't find spearfishing trips at least i don't know about any 😅 You should connect with locals first via Facebook groups because some of them sill take yoy soearfishing for a fee 😎 You can also just go spearfishing from the coast

before (1980-1995) there are rules and regulation about the hunting season but nowadays they are not getting respected and the the lack (missing) of controls make them more fade (almost vanishing). I bet that even your boat conductor doesn't know any of the sea regulation even about the distance from sings or over float object in the water. Vulgaris octopus mate in early spring and lay eggs during beginning of the summer so it get refuge into sea peels. does anyone knows how they get reproduce or the cycle of reproduction?? If you shot in summer probably U hit a mother protecting and heating the eggs that are going to born in august.
The missing or non-respecting the laws in general are making the people of the country flee from it.
in early 2000 and 2013 foreinger came here and took protected coral or protected species from the sea with no problem (you can find them on youtube also). Some of them are stoped but many including most albanians are still continuing hunting without regulation and with every prohibited methods

Visibility depends on the time and generally the colder the sea the better...The best bet would be 90cm roller and one smaller gun for holes...If you can only take one gun take classic 90cm 😎

It depends...You can do it in Canada, California, Florida, North Carolina, Norway, Albania ,Africa etc...
