- Defence and security analyst Michael Clarke looks at the political career of Slovakia's prime minster Robert Fico who has been shot multiple times in a suspected assassination attempt.
The 59-year-old has previously been compared to former US president Donald Trump. His election victory meant NATO also had its first leader who was sympathetic to Russia's Vladimir Putin.

Pro peace talks does not mean pro Russian.
Advocating for peace talks here just means giving Russia everything Russia wants. They aren't interested in any sort of good faith negotiations, rather, they want Ukraine to be a disarmed rump state out of NATO they could easily annex.
