The answer to cancel the weekly timer: So when you go into the program, keep all the "on" and "off" disappeared from Monday to Sunday. So you can select the weekly timer for each day to be "on" or "off", now when it's "on" then you press "next" it disappears but when you press "next" again, it is "off", you have to keep it between "on" and "off" which is no sign to actually cancel the timer function because the "off" in the weekly timer setting meaning "the timer to turn the AC off" not "turn the timer off" , the real sign to turn the timer off is not having any sign, meaning, not having "on" nor "off" sign. And you have to have it for all "1,2,3,4" in each day and from Monday to Sunday to be the same in order to turn the orange timer sign off. But if you simply keep all "1,2,3,4" function in "off" sign, I think the AC won't turn on either, but the orange timer sign is still on.
I’ve never been able to understand this ridiculous remote control settings and I’ve finally realised there are tutorials to try and understand how to set the sleep timer to just turn off!! This is the worst remote control I’ve ever had. I’m going to try and use your instructions so thanks for posting,
programme 1 = ON programme 2 = OFF programme 3 = ON programme 4 = OFF .... YOU JUST use the select button and the next button to take you to the next part of the program, which flashes until you adjust it using the select button arrows up or down. JUST DO EXACTLY WHAT THIS GUY IS TELLING YOU TO DO AND YOU'LL BE FINE.
@@marylinsmith4290but it doesn’t work like that….we are now both asking…how do you remove the timer function completely…I want to control the unit manually. I’ve done everything video instructs, but there is no mention of how to remove all timer programming, or how to “save” the fact that I’ve turned it off
Thank you. I first tried reading the manual and had absolutely no success! I can usually master most manuals but the Daikin User Manual did my head in, despite my determination to master the weekly timer. Your explanation is clear and concise. Your efforts are much appreciated. Thanks again.
I don't want it to turn off, I just want the temp to change to a lower temp at night and come back up on the AM. Is there a way to do that @southerairtas ?
Is there a way to program the mode as well, or only the temperature? My plan is to turn on the dry mode once a day for one hour in my apartment to get rid of the humidity. Thanks!
Thanks for the vid! Will this timer continue until we cancel it? I'm going on a trip and want the timer to work for two weeks while I'm away. Will it work for two weeks, or will this just for one week?
I have the exact same remote in my wine cellar. My question is I'm trying to get my AC to stay at a constant 56F. So far, only when I put the stronger setting does it drop down as low as 53-54F. Ideally, I'd like the AC to remain a steady 56F constantly how do I program it to do this? The remote only allows me to set the temp as low at 64F without the 'stronger' setting and then it gets colder than I'd like. My other problem it never stays on.
Other Question : How would you program Let say MONDAY 1 ON at 22:00 and OFF at 3:00 am ? Should it be a TUESDAY 1 OFF ? or a TUESDAY 2 OFF ? Could anyone here have an answer for this ? Thank you. :D
Probably a dumb question, but is it safe to assume the programming and the controls remain in the remote? IOW, none of the programming gets transferred to the head units, correct? Thus, if I take a remote and put it in a drawer, or out of the room, the AC will not obey the program, right?
@@charlotterowland2627 sorry, you have no degree in EE. Anyway, everything gets transfered to the unit. The beep is the acknowledgement. Keep it in its memory until a power failure
Thanks for the tutorial, this is the most difficult remote control to understand and I won’t buy a Daikon AC ever again. What idiot at this company thought this ingenious, NOT, functionally programs..
New heat pump customer. Just wondering what is the most efficient way to use it? Any tips would be great! Currently I leave it on 20 degrees all day/ night either going up to 22 or down to 18. Should I be turning it off when I'm away from the house for work?
How do I reset the program settings to inactive?v For example , if I go on vacation I may not want the unit to continue turning on and off all the time.
Greg Rochlin: I hear ya, I hear ya, I know exactly what you're sayin. I don't know if you've figured anything out yet, but I've just set the OFF to kick in at the same time as the ON... hopefully it'll cancel out the ON. It's the most hardest thing to try and programme, that's fore shore.
@@thomascocks9136 This didn't work for me. But thank you for pointing out the orange light on the unit. I pressed cancel on the remote and the orange light went out on the unit. I'll find out tomorrow if this has finally stopped my unit from turning on every Saturday morning.
My daikon mini split temp does not change to the new temp after we are all through. It still shows 72 degrees which it was before not 76 degrees which I currently set it to.
How do you copy your 2nd and 3rd programs to each weekday? I set 1 M-F and successfully copied it through the rest of the week, but can't figure out how to copy the programs 2 and 3. I have it set for one temp at 9:30am, and then another temp at 6:30pm, and then to turn off at 11:50pm for overnight, and I need it set like that Mo-Fri...
Hi, when you set the temp, what setting is this on? Does it default to whatever was last used? I might have it on cool during the day, and turn it off, but at 3am I want it on heat?
Great video. But whomever designed this remote need to get his hands chopped off. I’m software developer, this is so badly designed. If you need a manual, or this video to set such a simple device then it was designed wrong.
Remove the batteries and start again its the quickest way to get rid of the program. The only thing you will have to do is set the clock again , follow change the batteries video. Thanks Andrew
Horrible design. Why can't Daikin use the normal interval-based timer rather than clock-based. Illogical to assume a constant pattern of when you would use the Aircon. Intervals are more flexible and allows for better control on saving $$$

Coming from a super techy gamer that used to design sails. I've read the hole manual like 8 times watched countless videos... at this point the software code has broken itself or something idk what else could possibly be wrong but it's completely fucked an I'm so sick of over heating in a 35 deg condo that has AC because it doesn't want to just hold a fucking tempature like a normal heat pump or AC unit, the 7 day programming is the dumbest feature an has completely ruined any hope of this device being user friendly...
