I just finished my first hanger using this method. Thank you. Now I'm going to try another method, which might be closer to what my Grandma did. She would get a kick out my being able to crochet as I was her youngest grandson. I remember her watching me in amazement as I folded clothes after washing them at Mom's on a weekend home from college, and she asked me, "Where did you learn to do that?" I answered, "Your daughter! As soon as I got old enough to learn to do something, she would teach me so she never had to do it again. I also know how to sew on buttons and sew small tears in my clothes! You need to ground her!" She was born in 1902 and lived on a farm most of her life so my willingness to learn stuff like this tickled her.
That is an awesome story and such amazing memories for you! My mom was the one that taught me to crochet, neither one of my grandmothers crocheted. However, both my grandmothers were born in the early 1900's and both lived on a farm their whole lives. I have nice memories of spending a couple days each summer with them. Thanks for sharing your story! Also, so glad you like the video and thanks for watching! 😊
Wow! you went all the way back to the first video I did! That is so awesome that you checked out some of my other videos. Thanks for being such a great TH-cam friend! 💕
I have been thinking about this since I received your question. I honestly am not 100 percent sure what would hold. Glue on plastic doesn't really hold all that well. The only thing I can think of would be to put tape there, but you would have to put a lot on so the yarn wouldn't get past it. Also, it probably wouldn't look very nice. I wish I had a better solution for you. If you do figure something out I would love to know. Thanks for watching!
Hi! I never tried to use a wire hanger. I don’t really know how well it would work. I wish I could answer your question. You might have to try it and see. Thanks for watching! 😊
Awesome video. I’ll have to give this a try. I usually do with a nylon or jersey fabric, using 2 colours and doing the non crochet method. If using a “normal metal hanger “, would you use 2 hangers?

Great idea
I made a flower to tie on join of yarn at top
Good idea and another good way to use up yarn!
We don't really need the bottom of the hanger covered, is there a way to stop at the bottom and glue the thread so it doesn't slip down?

Hi can you use a wire hanger or just plastic hangers

I have never tried it in on a metal hanger. 2 hangers might be kind of difficult. Try 1 first and see how it looks. Let me know how it goes.😀
