Our friends The Tee Tones helped us take Pitbull's "Timber" back in time to the 1950's, where it would have undoubtedly been played at sock hops across the country. Special thanks to saxophonist David Luther for literally jumping in at the last minute to lend his talents on sax.

kesha actually added this to her "epic covers" playlist on her personal youtube channel
wow !!!
I'm usually not a big fan of covers. It is so incredibly hard to outdo the original. In this case Robyn really hits the hammer on the nail.
I heard something similar happened when Lorde said that their cover of Royals was her favorite
Bear in mind Ke$ha is quite self effacing about her music.
@@Menuki mario oddysey?!
You've managed to make Ke$ha and Pitbull not terrible. You win the Internet.
your comment made my day haha
The background singers were totally feeling it. What a joy to watch them sing and move.
Heleen H I couldn't get my eyes off of her
They were in the zone
This whole thing is def what you might call 'people who did their jobs'.
It was a very difficult accompaniment to do, but they made it look easy peasy.
Thecway they smile, they know they're freakin' rockin' it
I can't stop listening to this for like 5 reasons.
1. it's awesome.
2. she's an amazing sing AND she looks amazing in this video
3. the backup singers are badass.
4. sax man
5. because it's PMJ and everything is amazing.
+CptZSLight from the very first video (Cosmo Mash-Up) Completely obsessed...LOL
+CptZSLight I agree completely my friend ; )
+CptZSLight 6. and it was one of the first things of PMJ I bought...
#7 the original sucks
Sax mas was surprisingly hot
The background singers nail it.
They all did!
Im literally discovering new music types watching these.
So that's what Pit Bull is singing!!!
+Felipe Rojas Martínez LMAO !
INRIGHT
Tee Tones are the real stars! Always deliver amazing backing vocals. They should be featured more as the leads rather than backers.
they are straight up a vibe
When you see three black men in suits singing, you know the song's going to be epic
Robyn's voice makes any song sounds better!
I always wished I lived during the 50's and you made me feel like I was kind of there c: great cover.
If you haven't yet Stephanie, you should watch the movie American Graffiti, it was made in '73 set in the 50's, it's the best movie about the 50's of all time. It was direvted by George Lucas. It's out on blu ray now. When you watch it on blu ray it feels like your really there. It plays 50's rock'n'roll and doo-wop, and love songs in the teens cars when they cruise, and at the drive-in restaurants, and sock hops. It has all kinds of hot rods.
yeaaa i do wish i lived in the 50's too! such an old soul ;)
ffdztdr idk why your comment was spammed thank you for the info!
yeah the 50's...great times... racism, sexism, and homophobia... damn, wish i was alive back then......
***** lol you have to be stupid if you think there was anymore racism, and sexism, than there is today lol. The mid 50's is when everything changed teens got their own music, teens rebeled against their parents, they cruised, drag raced, hot rodded, greasers, rock'n'roll. white teens stood up for blacks. they also used black slang. there were tons of bands with blacks and whites mixed, You need to see the movie American Graffiti, it's bad ass. People are just giving you false preceptions of the 50's! Also the 50's weren't as old school as people make it out to be, teens did the same thing back then as they do today. and husbands didn't really boss their wives around or were sexist. Most men were hen pecked and did what their wives told them to do, because they loved their wives and wanted their wives to be happy. Those 1950's tv shows you watched are so far from the truth it's unreal, they were just shows, most shows and movies back then were not mean't to depict real life because they didn't find that as entertainment. Kids listened to music more than movies but they did watch James Dean movies. But movies changed forever when American Graffiti came out in 1973 by George Lucas director of Star Wars, it sparked all the coming of age movies like Dazed and Confusde, American Pie and Superbad. It was designed to never get old. American Graffiti is the best movie of all time for the 50's.
The three men in the back have golden voices... Amazing...!
I love the backup singers, please make more music with them! :)
These folks are simply amazing performers.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Robyn just shows up on set everyday like "Hi everyone! I picked out my customs and I'm ready to steal the show again!"
You all should definitely do Sexyback. That would sound so amazing.

So much yes!!
I didn’t know I wanted this but now you’ve said it I really do
i like this song soo much better than the original!!
You guys take these songs I can't stand to listen to, and switch them up in to something I'll blast in my car
Her voice is flawless.
This is an amazing arrangement.
This sounds like a super pleasant day. Like the sun is shining and everyone is just having a great time. Also great for driving. Just saying, always puts me in a good mood.
You’re exactly right . This is like the happiest day of your life. Like you get married and drive off with your bride listening to this in a convertible.
You made me fall in love with pitbull's part
This is one of the best channels I have come across in my life, and I don´t even like Jazz/blues that much, but man I'm in love with all the content I have seen just today, Amazing job on the arrangements of all the covers you have made
I love the piano and the three back up vocals!! Aren't they great!
I miss hearing Robyn Adele Anderson on PMJ
Oh yes, me too..
What happened to her?
She’s doing own type of PMJ on youtube
This is several hundred times better than the original. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
I liked it already in first 5 seconds
This is freaking awesome and i love Robyn Adele's Voice .
This voice is elegantly disciplined.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Words cannot describe the beauty of this rendition.
Fuck Glee. Y'all are the best cover singers EVER. I would pay significantly to go to your concerts.
Astounding. Who would have thought a Pitbull song could be enjoyable.
yo but THAT SAXOPHONE THO
OfDaSouth I KNOW RIGHT!!!?
I love the fact that u're already on spotify! I can't deal with so much perfection!!!!
That's cool to see a lady lead singer and guy backup singers. This is bloody fantastic
PMJ has got to have some of the best musicians that ever graced the stage. Every one of them are top notch.
Wow this song is so much less despicable now, it actually has value and talent behind it!
Fyodor Dochievsky And you know with how many people I slept how? Lol. Typical.
Kesha Galaxy You used homophobia to categorize someone? Typical.
TroLLoughlin Bitch please, I'm gay. Fuck out of here with your SJW bullshit.
But you use the word 'fag' as an insult?
Are you fucking stupid?
TroLLoughlin Yea, and black people use nigga as insult. What cave do you live in?
Robyn's style sure reminds me of a time long ago when I lived in Baton Rouge La. I use to go to the shows down in Orleans. Best time of my life and I'll never forget the people I met while living there. Everyone looked like they are soooo enjoying themselves with this one. Me too, very good. I enjoyed it very much.
I would really like to see a movie set back in like the 1950s, and see them in the club, singing a cover of todays songs, hopefully this song!!
They did something like that with Bioshock Infinite. Set in 1912, an acapella group can be heard singing God Only Knows by The Beach Boys and there is a recording of someone singing Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears.
Why are you copy/pasting this comment into every video from this channel?
Thelargir HAHAHA. Dedication, maybe?
GooberKings Maybe these guys should be in the sequel, Bioshock Cantor's Construction
ssarahyim Must be something like that :P
This is Robyn's best one
Robyn's voice is so charming!
YES!!
This is Great !!!!!
love love love it!!!! better than the original
Every time I hear the original I have to come and cleanse my soul with this. Thank you.
I need to hire those three backup singers in my funeral
I swear, she really seems like she loves misogynistic lines in music. the face she made during the "I bet she will line" was hilarious, and then she did blurred lines like a boss. I think she finds them funny.
I can honestly say I never thought that this song would be turned into something like this, but I love it!
A kesha song I can tolerate. I didnt think it was possible.
How dare you.
She drives me crazy. Ideal girl, beautiful and sophisticated, like a thousand angels.
What would it take to get me to listen to Ke$ha? This.
And then you realized how shitty her version was, and came back here like me?
Robyn is always such a pleasure to listen to. Great work again ScottBradlee and everyone involved. Poor drummer hidden in the back again though!
Ever who does all the arrangements of these songs is AMAZING. You are brilliant. Sick of hearing the pop sound of todays music. This is real music. Thanks guys no wonder you have millions of views. Keep giving us this great music.
This is simply awesome. The arrange, the backvoices, the piano, everything! And her voice... just stunning. Not mentioning that she's gorgeous and I love women in dresses.
This is lovely and a great relaxing Friday version of a song that many love.
#Timber
Via Mashable
amazing performance by Robyn. I'm no singer but imagine this was very hard to sing...
Lovely performance. I never heard the original, but I get the impression from the comments that I may not want to.
+AronRa The original is probably one of the worst songs I've ever had the displeasure of hearing. Trust me when I say you're better off only having ever heard this version.
+AronRa The original sounds like it was just thrown together.
+AronRa I tried to listen to the original versions of some of the songs, Lorde, Sia, Robin Thicke, et al. I always come back to PMJ.
+AronRa Even if this is 2 months ago, I'm still going to reply: "Trust me, just don't listen to the original."
You probably don't. It's just horridm
2019!
This the first ever song I heard from PMJ. Love it. Her voice is just awesome.
man its like im living in the 1950s again! even though im born in 1991 :)) but i love it !
Your Awesome Scott!!
This is so good I almost cried. No joke.
Wow can't get enough pf them ,i just found this group today n i love it that thry r dojng jn their 60s style ..
This channel needs more subscribers..
Agreed. And done.
Timber sounds even better this way. I hope they release a CD or something because I'm willing to buy :P
go buy it on the itunes!!
The Tee Tones! Coolest ever.
One of my absolute favorites from PMJ. Luv you guys.
Far better than the original.
Simply not having Shitbull makes any song infinitely better.
Lmao
You guys are unreal! If that's not auto-tuned, which I'm assuming it's not, you all need to be signed, or do something so that we can see you live! Phenomenal sounds, all around!
Auto-tune.... creating 'talent' where there is none.
Get out to a jazz event anywhere in your talent. This is pretty average amongst professional jazz musicians. Most people just havent experienced this kind of true musical talent.
The piano at 2:04 was simply fantastic!
elegant kesha and the 3 black pitbulls.
This is definitely my favorite one so far. :D
You guys are so good it just makes me happy there are people like you doing music :)
Oh, oh, oh, I could make a movie with their music. My head is careening of the possibilities!
The trio singing in the BG are great! They hit their harmonies spot on. Love their attitude and timing.
Epic :) Such refreshing music and reassuring music that good music can be made out of bad music...
Literally a bajillion times better than the original.
People misuse literally so often nowadays.........it's literally infinitely better!
I love the chords from the backup singers on "I'm yellin' tim-ber"...that last syllable. I think it's a seventh chord, but I'm not sure. Either way, it sounds great and really adds to the flavor xD
Great job as always :D
I noticed, too, they're singing really good! Their voices match perfectly.
Those background vocals are flawless (as always)!
That clap at 1:05 just sends me to tears,,,ouch.. Classic move...Great Vid
Gosh, I wish I was in a band like the Scott Bradlee crew!
went to your homepage saw dream a little dream YUP you could do it, put out an advert for band members and give it a try, I'm sure Scott would agree, you never know until you try. regrets suck and I know you could do it and have a good time with your new band mates.
SuperSerenity44 aww well thank you very much! :) I shall definitely give it a go, no harm in trying after all!
Man they did a great job incorporating the rap verses...
This girl...wow. So amazingly awesome. Gorgeous and talented. Love it.
I think I'm in love with Robyn Adele Anderson. I am obsessed with every video she's in.
Personally, this and Royals with Puddles are the best covers that have come out of this. This song works oddly well like this.
The Katy Perry 'Roar' cover is very very well done also.
And the sax solo! Great!
She's so fascinating.
It has been 6 years and 8 months since this came out... and I still don't know how Robyn managed to pull off those verses 😂
amazing voices
god this voice. subscribed
Can't believe the live mix... in this small room... someone knows their levels!
I had no idea this song had actual lyrics.
Same lmao
hahahaha
Amazing stuff as always! I don't know how you guys do it but it seems like every song you touch turns into something magical. Great stuff.
I can actually understand all the lyrics in this version. :)
Honestly sounds 100 times better than the original :)
how come i dont know about this before?? like... it is AWESOME ENOUGH to be not knowing for! daymnn maynn!
The background singers are amazing!! Beatiful voices!!
amazing
Ok, this is really, really, really friggin' awesome! Just discovered the channel and love it!
Great sound with doing "Timber" the Doo Wop style gives it a whole new spin. Best of luck with your career and thanks for the share... God Bless to All
oh my GOD THIS IS WHAT I CALL PERFECTION!!!!
Can't even put into words how much better than the original this is. Classy. Not trashy like Kesha
Hate to break it too you, but the lyrics are trashy no matter how wonderfully sang they are.
Scott Jenkins well yeah cant change that kesha is just a trashy person.
CJSchecter96 www.cracked.com/article_20633_5-pleasant-surprises-about-famous-people-you-had-all-wrong.html
CJSchecter96 nope
Scott, Robyn and the Postmodern jukebox crew have a fantastic ability to take a song that the original artist screwed up and turn it into something beautiful.
I just fucking love REAL music.. You know.. People, singing and playing instruments.. Really really good...
Am I the only one that wishes we could hear the finger snaps?
I did it myself and it sounds so good!
You are not alone
BYOS: Bring Your Own Snaps
