i think it is stupid to not use as nice of audio equipment as possible when demonstrating the sounds of expensive instruments with subtle variations in sounds. they just being lazy; she even said it herself.
I've never had any problems with the set up of the show, I do think investing in a new set up for live videos would be a good idea though. Just so the quality isn't as shite in the future as it was for the 900th ep.
I was thrilled to see the dial Caliper come out and measure the nut width!! I'd be happy to see that on every GOTD. Also, I'm totally on board with no mic on the amp, Tod explained that well. Keep up the good work!
Cost of a new Fender American Ultra Stratocaster $2750.00 aprox. Price of a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass $7500,00 obo. The look on Todd's face when Michael cycled through the "Beat Machine",...Priceless.
I like the room mike from the camera, you do a great job, bunch of friends jamming on great guitars. Jen your videos are great, thank you, Jeff in LA USA
The thumb wear reminds me of a staircase in a very old building where treads are worn down in the middle from 100years of people walking on them. Very cool.
that is one well loved bass , and you can easily hear why , great tone on that thumper , and if you can't use that groove for your thumb , you could always park your car in it. can't say I've heard Strawberry letter 23 in a long time , classic , and well played Todd , edibles are making thumpin thursday every bit as welcome as any other GOTD , always fun , always entertaining , thanks guys.
Im for a mic on the amps. No effects or anything though. The bass could just come out of the amp Di. The problem is the sound fades in and out depending on the camera position.
i dont care if the amps mic'ed up, we've got really good sound quality already, but if we're gonna keep doing livestreams, if we can keep a 720p image and not have the sound cut out of the stream id be eternally grateful lol. as always, great playing guys, but i am gonna be real Mike you could have picked out a better finish for the strat lol
I’m glad they addressed this. The guys that are complaining about wanting to hear this through proper mic setup need to get over it. Just listen and take that rode mic into account and use your best judgement as a musician/person with ears and a brain for Pete’s sake.
@@alex-px1uz Way ahead of you on that - what I'm worried about is the generic result that seems to come from it, vs. the open aired sound we get now. While no processing *has* to occur, it seems like it usually does occur, and just makes it worse for the effort. I like the sound we're getting from the gear now.
@@alex-px1uz if only that's what I was talking about, and I'm not. ;) What I'm referring to is the "youtube" sound of guitars when people begin micing their amps, and the generic result it seems to bring. Woah, JB said he is falling apart at the Shane's. Is that the same as seems? Should falling apart at the Shane's be our new band name? We are moving to Detroit. We could rebrand. If we do that, should we only play falls to the balls rock in roll?
Be curious if they had an original Jaguar Bass (not vintage, but saw a band with one, sufficiently thumpin’). Just saying, there’s plenty of thump out there.
I get where people are coming from but when Jen moves around you get a muffled sound for a short while, I think you should try miking things up for a few episodes and then ask again which is prefered.
don't change a thing. it's a great format as is. "keep it simple".
Gerry Rafferty Right down the line! SWEET
Should have checked before i commented...
Oh how I love that song!
i prefer how it is. I think a great guitar or bass can break through and sound fantastic even though its not "properly" mic´d up

not a bass person but todd is exceptional! love his playing style.very smooth.

Looks like that bass fell out of the tour bus a few times. Good gig tonight, thanks guys.
Awesome job Edibles! Smooth sounding bass with a great guitar, can't ask for nothing more! However! Gotta do a Maton!

That bass has a lot of mojo. I like it very much. Good job Edibles. Do whatever you like as long as you keep going. Episode 1000 coming up...👍👏
I love Guitar Of the Day
I Like Edibles At Night they are my favourite things to watch ♥️😊🎉😇🙏😅
The thumb wear reminds me of a staircase in a very old building where treads are worn down in the middle from 100years of people walking on them. Very cool.
Probably the best 'Thumping Thursday' ever. "Keep it organic", I need the ambience.
First song just kickin' it. Good vibe. Both solid playing. Enjoyed it.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I love you guys!
Favorite day of the week!!
Keep you tubing the same as always, no mic. Looping is very cool.
You had me at the first note of "Right Down The Line." Genius choice, great rendition. Lemmo, would you ever do a video showing how you choose songs?
Ah, gloriously loop-free! 👌👌👌👍👍👍
Keep the format and keep playing! Edibles at night are awesome!!
Cool jazz bass
I'm not a bass player by any stretch but I'd thump the hell outta that beauty ! I love the vibe ! Thanks Lemmo,Todd, and Jen !

Sounded pretty tight, good job guys.
Really unique color on that strat!

Damn that's tight playin. Sounds great.
Come play Springfield, IL please
Gerry RIP..........great track
Best day of the week. When are the T-Shirts coming out?
Same '65 Jazz bass Mark played on GOTD back in February. Still looks and sounds cool.

I guess they didn’t get the Ultra Jazzmaster yet. I’m really intrigued with that one.
YES MIKE IT UP. Thanks.
Well, I came to hear the sweet vintage bass but I only heard a drum machine and guitar riffs. Noice!
Good job Todd !
YES! Thank you!!! ULTRA
That mic is doing a good job. After all, wtf you think this is?!! Andertons?!!
soooooooooooooooooooooooo sick !
That’s a “Leave it to Beaver” bass because of all the gnawed wood. Ward was so very hard on the Beaver
Edibles at night...all day!
9:02 Jen's "c'mon" 😆😆😆
great as usual guys!
Edibles at Night playing The Johnson Brothers? Now thats cool 😎
That feeling when you get up looking forward to GOTD, and see it's Thursday..Bass... :( See ya tomorrow!
Guitar of the day is about the guitar. THE GUITAR. Thats been forgotten here at times
Cool jam
Sweet old jb.sounds like thunder. Id say Mic em.
Curious what Mike thinks of those new strats....
Listed for 75? What, dollars. Good jam guys
I came in and played that bass about 3 weeks ago lmao.
Baker Street next time plz...and that solo! 😁
Wow, Fender Ultra! I wonder if there's a Jazzmaster?!
Pfffttt...you know you could sing in a few these..😉
Nice shirts !!! 😁
You Guys swing from note one!
Hi, i've never commented before, but I've always thought you should mic the amp.
I like the instrument audio as is. I'd rather not have it processed. The audio and style you've been doing is great.

Only clean tones!
Sounded nice, but we didn't get to hear its range
NO MIC NEEDED...:) per- Jen...
Right down the line

Texas Tea is another name for crude oil
Hehe, black gold!
Crude
Beverly Hillbillies
Mic the amp and use the looper sparingly. :-)
BTW...the strap button is affectionately called a hootenanny button by us old farts.
WHAT? NO DITTO LOOPER!!
I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO DIS
CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042
I personally prefer the sound of camera mic. That way you can feel like you're in the room with an actual amp !
We need some Jack Bruce thumpin.
I'm watching on my phone with shitty little speakers, so mic-ing up the amp with make no difference. Leave it as it is guys. Jen does enough work.
Cool
"Amp mic's? We don't need no stinking amp mic's!"

Looks like an Eric Johnson neck tint on that neck Lemmo....
I truly believe Todd made Micheal play better.
Who is Mike?
