  • Todays video in the historic town of Dawson City I take Aubery to see the steamboat wrecks on the other side of the Yukon River. We then venture to the Gold Fields in Dawson to try our luck of gold panning on Bonanza creek. It was hold out so I Crush a IPA from Boiling Oar Brewery. We ended the day at the Pit having a few cold ones.

    I watched "Destination Adventure" a while back, and I believe he visited those steamboat wrecks as well. Beautiful country!

    Thanks for bringing us along again on your Yukon adventure. Interesting to see some changes there since your last trip. I’m sure you could spend weeks there to tour around and see everything there is to see

      There was lots of changes but not for the better, seems less going on in Dawson since 2014ish

    Another excellent video, the dredge tailing piles are impressive. I wonder how many yards of material it moved to get all that gold.

    Your drone shots were great Jerry! Dawson City looks amazing and I would love to visit there someday. Those steamboat wrecks were hauntedly cool, if they could only talk . Take care my friend and catch you on your next one.

    Those dredges are so cool. Pretty amazing engineering and processes there. Unbelievable they were able to get all that shit so far into nowhere. I guess the opportunity for riches can make a man resourceful.

    It's amazing to think how much gold mining has changed since the early gold rush in the 1800's to today. Also, how mild the weather seems to be during summer, and how cold and hostile it is during winter. At the current price for gold ($2500/oz), that 300,000 ounces would be $750,000,000.00 US. That is a LOT of money! But I"ll bet operating costs are through the roof too...

      it's hard to say what the opterating costs where, breakdowns were most likely a big issue as you just couldn't get overnight parts
