Thank you for a great show, for some reason I thought it was going to be Friday night/ Sat morning in Oz. I can remember when Terry Butcher went off then came back with a bandaged head, the crowd gave one of the biggest roars I have ever heard at Portman Road,
Bench cam is a good insight and you can tell KM was not too happy with the millwall goal.

Quality podcast from you Ipswich boys….excellent mini research and analysis of the Sky Blues season thus far. A few players in to their 30s in the team but, in all honesty, results matter whatever the average age of the team. Thinks looking better since MR changes the formation from three centre backs to a defending back four. This has allowed extra freedom for the wide central attacking midfielders to supply the (still misfiring) forwards……but, things are looking better. Sky Blues fans too expectant after last year’s Wembley final; Hamer & Gyokeres simply impossible to replace. The midfield still lacks a bit of creativity (which should be addressed in the Jan’ window) which is why I think a draw at Portman Road would be good result.

Considering the sheer number of games Seb must've been to over the years I'm pretty amazed at the lack of understanding of the football fan mentality when chanting.
To say that the fans were being 'sarcastic' to the Town team at the WBA game on a cold miserable Saturday night is at best naïve...At worst, just plain stupid.
Not everything fans chant is aimed at the team-for sure most of it is, but not all. If Town fans had sung 'you're not fit to wear the shirt', or booed or jeered the team then I would get you're questioning the fans lack of gratitude for all the great moments we've enjoyed under KM.
Despite singing their hearts out as usual for the cause for 80 odd minutes we'd been absolutely schooled by a far superior side on the day and taunted by the Baggies fans we did what all decent fans do. Instead of lashing out at the team, the fans engaged in a spot we've got the ball, we've lost the ball chants which kept them amused as the game petered out. It was gallows humour at it's best and also an acknowledgement to the Baggies fans how much better they were on the day.
Hull fans spent most of the second half doing it at Portman Road and fair play to them. As a fan, travelling to an away game on a cold miserable night, you find ways to make the night less depressing and more fun...Far better than turning your frustration and disappointment onto the team.
Isn't gallows humour 'sarcasm' David? In which case Seb's perspective - which he's perfectly entitled to - is fair and not at all 'stupid'.
@@BlueMondayITFC It was aimed at the Baggies fans NOT the team. They were making light of a bad day at the office and trying to enjoy the dying moments of a miserable day. That's the difference. It's self evident it was not aimed at the players or the Manager and if you think it was that is VERY stupid. Trust me, I've been at many games where the fans weren't happy with the Manager and players and it doesn't involve 'We've got the ball chants'.
I find your comments a bit disrespectful bearing in mind our forward line is one of the most expensive in the league and we have one of the best defensive records at the moment but we are realists we know how good we are and we’re we are going this season. Pusb

@@BlueMondayITFC where you said in the two minutes you watched against Plymouth you thought there’s no way we could beat you without watching any other games we’ve played we’re we’ve been the better side and may not have come out on the right side of the score line but would beat a lot of teams in the championship. I could say the same about Ipswich losing recently but I know watching reasonable amount of their game’s I wouldn’t dismiss them in any form in other words I wouldn’t disrespect you.

But as a BlueMonday fan I wish you well, I'm Leeds but have nothing but respect for Ipswich, I still remember rooting for them when they were playing in Europe, no disrespect to Norwich but they don't have the same pedigree 🔥
