Agree with your position about the reindeer meat. Eating local is the best idea. I'm amazed at just how quiet the forest is; no birds chirping or any other sounds from wildlife. Some good points about toilet use. A great instructional video, Vanessa. Thanks very much.

Currently, temperature is -18C with about 12 inches of snow with winter ice fog, hoar frost, covering all the trees.
A winter wonderland :) It has been this way since Christmas and very cold this year. It is nice that it is not so cold in Germany and you can have a nice trip to your forest to "recharge your energy". I loved your video. Thank you for your hard work. All the Best to you and your family!

Vanessa every video you do shows commitment and passion. I feel like I am right there with you. i can feel the cold and smell the wood smoke. Just love the pan cleaning part, thought I was the only one to do that. Can not imagine where you find the energy to do everything it takes to make one of these videos, but I am grateful. I really like your out look on everything, you see the beauty in life.
I think the reason you like the lantern so well, is that the light from it, is soft and warm, and comforting.....like YOU, Vanessa.😚LEDs are efficient, but the light from them is so harsh. Your lanterns bring back fond memories of my youth. They're what my brother and I used!
BTW, I have several vacuum bottles, the same size as yours, that were "free" gifts when I ordered tools from a co. Stainless, and things are still warm 24 hrs later! Vanessa, do you know what the English phrase: "giving someone a heads up" means? Ask. Your channel is still great, but it has really changed since Christmas. A REAL, sincere freund will tell you. Good idea about knowing how to get out and knowing where you are and where to get help. Every wild animal which burrows has many ways to get out safe. We should have at least the common sense of the animals.

Hello. Very pleasant this time spent in the camp. For the Kleen Kanteen thermos, I have the same one, but I don't use it when hiking. Too heavy. It is a good quality product.

Brings back memories of my younger days of my enthusiastic outdoor adventures of wanting to go out and apply what I’ve learned from my friends that hunt, fish, hike and camping the outdoors.
