But I'm sure it was just him being scared into doing that. In addition, someone showing support or nationality does not automatically equate to them accepting everything the nation has done. As a black woman I agree with certain American keynesian economy policies, and would praise them, but that does not mean I support the forced removal and caging of undocumented immigrants, or of police brutality. I think it's just harder for celebrities or...ugh, 'idols' because they are held to a weirdly higher-than-human standard. It's so adorable how Jackson always starts out a full English conversation sounding completely American, no accent, no grammar mistakes, and then, somewhere in the middle, he starts to sound like English is definitely not his 1st language, but he's still very fluent. Lol. Adorable.
As a non-native English speaker myself, I think it’s because carrying out a semi-serious conversation in a second language causes a lot of mental energy (to constantly thinking about the right grammar, vocab, pronunciation etc.) so slowly, as the conversation goes on, people tend to get tired mentally and start to make more mistakes.
It’s not like speaking one’s native language where everything comes naturally and doesn’t slowly exhaust you lol
