      Well said!! That's what I like about PFL, give points for finishes and more in 1st round. More incentive not to just lay on the opponent with an occasional tiny arm punch. Dominant position is so overrated 🙄

    Well timed knee as the wrestler came in for the takedown. Difficult to land and it’s a risky manoeuvre but if it does land then 💥 lights out!

      Eastern Europe, particularly a few places in what's currently Russia, has a really strong tradition of wrestling as a pastime, so a lot of the fighters who come out of that part of the world have a lot of wrestling in their background.
      Also, I'm not sure why you draw a distinction between fighters and wrestlers. Wrestling is fighting. I'd even argue it's more fundamental than striking, in any context where it's allowed.

      Grapplers have the advantage in a fight this was just poorly timed takedown.

    Le getting one kick off doesn’t make him a better fighter the wrestler was better fighter he controlled him the whole time Just needed to be smarter not dip his head

    • @Animefightforum
      @Animefightforum ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unless you consider Le was learning his timing and rhythm and “give aways” through out the fight to pre-empt the kick.
      In that case yes, Le is the better fighter for reading and timing his opponent.
      Didn’t look like a fluke kick.
      And btw, the wrestler is a better wrestler. I guarantee you if he stood and struck he’d get KO’d.
      Because he lost doesn’t mean he’s bad but it also doesn’t mean his opponent “got lucky”.

    Personally
    I don’t like all these rolling around on the floor crap.
    Sure
    It’s ok in the ring one one
    but in real life street fighting ??
    Is it practical?
    Especially when you are fighting more one person and hopefully nobody else joins in to help your opponent
    A quick knock out is effective and safer

    • @someirishkid9241
      @someirishkid9241 ปีที่แล้ว

      For multiple opponents, sure, it's not great, but for a single opponent there's literally nothing like good wrestling for controlling the other guy. Ring, cage or street, if you're skilled at controlling another person's body and forcing them into helpless positions, you've got a huge advantage in a fight.
      There are plenty of examples out there of people with decent grappling getting attacked in public and just basically sitting on their opponent for as long as they like until either help arrives or the grappler decides to end the fight.
      Anytime I see someone make a comment like this the response seems to be "but what if a knife", so to pre-empt that: if you have no choice but to engage in a fight with someone who has a weapon, sticking to them and controlling them is a much better way to not get hurt than striking with them.
