man, i haven't been playing SC in something like 10 years, never seen anything about SC, gotten into other stuff.
I've dropped some 6/7 days ago on a "i cheesed every single game..." of yours by chance... and for the following week i've been binge watching ur videos... A M A Z I N G.
OMG the SC feel... what a game, simply unbeatable mix of micro skill, macro skill, strategy, precision, reaction, presence of mind...
And u are just fantastic. Super positive vibes, very crisp reasoning (and skill, strategy, preci..... read above) and superb way of explaining that to us.

yea man.. you hit everything that makes him so addicting to watch.. I don't play sc anymore nor was I ever big into sc but he is just next level with the troll, skill, commentary mix.
I haven't played sc in years as well. Regardless though, I enjoy watching Marc's videos.
(In my youth I spent thousands of hours playing rts'. SC and C&C were my 2 favorite series/ titles.)

Hi Thermy, love the content! A suggestion for Proxy Hatch against Zerg: You send 4 drones and put down a hatchery next to his natural with just enough space between the hatcheries to fit three spine crawlers as soon as his hatchery finishes. So the spine crawlers are protected and can go up pretty easily. I think BeastyQT did this a couple of times

U, I enjoy watching your cheese and challenge videos. I enjoy some of your analysis as well. Don’t take this the wrong way. I will give your strengths and weaknesses. Easy to analyze others but sometimes difficult analyzing yourself. Strengths. You know the game, the timing, what units counter other units. Weaknesses are, if you start losing you mentally begin to spiral down and make desperate moves.You assume other player will beat you and make a bad desperate move. You focus your attention away from important battles or battles that might occur. You will focus more on a single reaper dancing in beginning of the game and focus away when you got to 2 death balls of units next to each other. You will choose a weaker cheese than do a stronger one again for variety.
Strength is you know all 3 races. You tend to build to many CCs when air units like speed banshees are more effective. You forget upgrades and armories and go to,default CCs. SC is a fluid game of adjustments during game play, but it is also planning. Knowing when to turtle and delay your opponent is much more useful than going for all in in desperation. Instead of switching your focus away from your main army, try presetting up what you need to do right before you attack, on route. Better to stop at mid way point, do your splits, hot keys, upgrades, units etc, before your army gets near the other army. Your a very good and knowledgeable player, sometimes I see you making rookie mistakes. Like what should I get? Did I upgrade? I thought I upgraded. Using a barracks as your scout? Limiting myself to units I can use or how many units like marines. Just curious, do you throw games on purpose? The great players can come back from a bad loss or exchange, mentally they don’t just give up psychologically. Do you know how to turtle or transition from a bad opener or bad exchange?

I watched a video of a game where a pro lost in a tournament to that same cannon rush because he didn't pull workers but you handled it like a champ.

I've definitely never seen a ling drop rush before, considering people often gg after lings get past the wall you'd think it would be more common. After he kills all the probes wouldn't it make more sense to kill the nexus so he has zero chance of recovering economically or does it not matter since he's already massively behind at that point?
Hey, I have an idea for a Zerg series (hard to count it as challenge/cheese), but Zerg play based on using dropperlords as much as possible (maybe nydus aswell). Baneling drops, Queen drop rushes, Lurker drops behind mineral lines/in their main, constant Ling drops everywhere when opponent moves out, dropping Infestors for fungals etc etc. A lot of Zerg units kinda lack much micro potential, but feel like you could be pretty creative with using dropperlords for different strats, think it could produce both entertaining aswell as unusual games.
Edit, hahaha wrote this before I saw you rushing dropperlords with lings into the main in the first game ^^

in the first game I thought he was taking the gas to prevent you from building ravager and build like batteries and a robo in front of your base, but finally it seems his plan is still unclear to me

For ZvZ isn't there still your creep vs opponent creep for vision purposes? Like can you deny vision by laying creep first or do they overlap?
It's your creep tumors and their creep tumors that give vision. The creep itself doesn't belong to anyone, and doesn't grant vision, just mud on the ground. So both can place tumors on the same creep (just not on top of other tumors) to give vision to both. And if you kill a tumor you lose the vision instantly, while it takes a while for the creep to recede.
Oh nice. Dang when you play vs Maru or Clem it must look like the lights are turning on & off out there .. :^)

Guess it's too late, you've already played the Dark game, but against a top 10 player in the world can you just play straight(I mean you still cheese but not enforcing any rules on yourself)? A properly fight game against highest level player is enjoyable by itself. Don't need added flavor to spice it. On the other hand, if you play something weird only because you have to, and game ends quickly, it'll be so much lost potential.

If you'd like to play these tournaments with other races then how do you feel about random? I mean there is the inherent advantage in it and if you were to cheese that might be stronger, on the flip side people expect random players to cheese, maybe you could mix in some ultimate value builds especially if you random Terran and with this edge maybe you could claim yourself a victory even playing against the best players, I know you're capable and you've been quite close before.
As someone who plays random, most everyone just plays safe against it. You're better off going for a slightly greedier build rather than something aggressive generally.
Can you do an infested Terran video?
I always wondered in these videos why you would not always try to go for the gold base early on.
Seems like one would get away with it most of the time and get super much from it.
But never seen Uthermal do it, so sure it its bad at high level at least. but to rise I think it will be good ( without really knowing )

@@altonito777 Everyone of his builds can get destroyed. It always depends. And often with the chaos, there is room to have the gold base, meaning he needs less workers. something he often have because the focus is on cheese. So he would be able to have a stronger cheese. But ofc, like every build, it depends on what is done by both players, and sometimes it will lose.
Swarm host to gm? Make any units with it cause you can’t just start swarm host but always play swarm host in your comp
PiG already has a swarm host rush series... Would be interesting to see if Thermy puts a different spin on it though.
correct me if i'm wrong but i think you should still put your own creep on. As it gives vision and you can block expands etc.
and it's free! on or off creep, your zerg opponents will only go as fast as you do. so it's the same in the end. no real downside to the vision it gives.
Lings to Lurkers, 2-3 early lurkers.. can be really devasting behind a slow zerg ball, lol ot target pylons etc

Allways people hating on the zerg,... if you are a sc2 player it,s maybe good to practice all races so you are more aware of their timings and strats. Was diamond league with all races and most times played random myself

Worst feeling in the world as Zerg. Mass Queen is literally the only thing you can do at that point. roach, ravager is way too slow to get anything done. And you have no larvae for lings.
Call me bronze, but VoidRays are just the most sinister unit in all of SC2.
